Luke decided that he wanted to go out alone today, he said he didn't want to talk about everything with everyone but I knew it was because of me and Ashton. He trusted us but that didn't mean he liked it, I could understand, me and him did have a big thing a month or so ago.
"So Lucas where are you taking me?" I ask excitedly as he started the car.
"You know Lucas isn't my actual name right?"
"You know it's annoying when you answer a question with a question?" I replied, cocking my eyebrow up as him as he shot me a look. "But yes I did know, but I like calling you it," I finished, answering his question.
"Well if you can call me that I have to have a name for you." I shook my head at his stupid comment.
"No you don't, you call me by my full name anyway, you can't lengthen it," I chuckled.
"Well I want to," he demanded. I laughed at him and nodded.
"Okay then, think of something," I stated.
"What's your middle name?" he asked me. I sighed and rolled my eyes. I didn't really like one if my middle names so I decided to give him my other one.
"Louise," I said simply. He looked at me with wide eyes and I shook him off.
"Well okay Hollie Louise, we're going out." I scoffed.
"No shit Sherlock, any place in particular?" I asked.
"You'll see," he replied quickly. I watched as he lent forward and turned on the radio. We let a few songs play out before starting a conversation again.
After about ten minutes my heart sunk. I knew exactly where we were. We were near my cliff/hill thing. I hadn't been here since I was kind of with Ashton and relapsing. My heart sunk and my palms started getting sweaty, the rest of me becoming restless.
"Are you okay?" Luke asked, concerned with how I was acting.
"No one was meant to know about this place," I thought.
"What?" he questioned my mumbling. I had started again, I only spoke out loud when I was nervous or angry. Why did Luke know this was here?
"Nothing just thinking out loud," I said shaking my head. His hand reached out and found mine almost instantly, soothing me.
"You sure?" he asked looking at me as he slowed the car down.
"Y-Yeah I'm good I promise," I stuttered. I knew he knew I was lying but I couldn't confess to him that I spent a week up here and Ashton had to help me because I was relapsing. That's not something I wanted to spring on him when we were having a good time. Well he was.
"Holl-"
"Luke keep your eyes on the road!" I screamed as I saw the car swerve onto the side, almost down the hill. He jolted us back onto the road, making my head snap in the process and tried to carry on driving. I cried out in pain as I felt my neck seize up.
"Hollie, baby come on, look at me," Luke said. Somehow the car had stopped and he was practically on top of me holding my head in his hands. The pain from my neck was slowly decreasing and I could just about bear it.
"Luke?" I questioned, not sure if I was seeing things or my giant boyfriend was actually on top of me.
"Oh thank god you're okay, I'm so sorry baby I just was worried about you and I didn't know we were swerving and oh god I could've killed you, I don't know what I would've done if-" I cut him off by pressing my lips firmly to his.
"Luke you didn't mean it and you didn't kill me okay? I'm okay, I was just shocked and wasn't prepared for the turn. I'm okay now," I explained.
"You promise you're okay?" he asked checking me over once again.
"I'm fine you big lump now get off me!" I laughed pushing him back. He pecked me once more before climbing off of me and out of the door.
"We're here now come on," he said, indicating for me to get out and holding his hand out to mine. I slid out of my seat and took his hand in mine. I knew exactly where we were and I could recognize the exact spot I had spent a lot of my time but I didn't let that effect me anymore. This time I was with Luke. This time I was better.
"Luke what are we doing?" I asked as he kept walking past the section I knew. There was a bush with a sort of archway in it and we walked through, trying not to get stung or scratched on the way, and we finally came out at a beautiful clearing. There was a singe bench in a patch of grass and it looked out across the city like the other spots did. However this spot, this was more beautiful, this enhanced the beautiful things of the city.
"Tadah!" he said holding his hands out towards the bench. On it there was a basket with a blanket underneath, ready for us to use.
"Luke..." I started but he stopped me by pressing his lips to mine again.
"Just enjoy this now and tell me later yeah? Try and forget whatever is on your mind because I won't let anything happen to you now." He said every word looking into my eyes and meaning it. I wanted to melt in front of him and for a moment, just a moment, I was content and happy.
"So is this a date?" I ask him cheekily, slightly ruining the moment.
"It's whatever you want it to be," he replied pecking me once more and tightening his grip around my waist.
"So a date?" I repeated.
"Yes Hollie, a date." He kissed me once more and I shut my eyes in happiness. This place now had a completely different meaning.
