Somehow I had ended up having a popcorn fight with Ashton half way through the film because we both got bored and distracted.
I moved to the other end of the row, stealing the popcorn off of his lap and throwing it at him.
"That's not fair!" he yelled. Luckily we were the only ones in the cinema, well apart from an old couple and a family at the front, but their kids were just as loud so they didn't care much.
"It is now," I said throwing some more at him. He picked it up and threw it straight back at me. I looked down at the large pot and decided my next move. That's when I grabbed the biggest handful I could and threw it at Ashton, but it missed and hit Luke.
He was sat bedside Ashton and had luckily been ignoring us the whole time but I felt like chucking more at him so I did, and it landed all in his hair. I slapped a hand over my mouth to stop me from laughing too loud and just watched as he ruffled his hair to try and get it all out.
"You're so on," he chuckled getting some of his own small popcorn and throwing it over Ashton and at me. It missed my a couple of inches and landed on the chair in front.
"Is that the best you've got Hemmings?" I said, indicating for him to try harder.
"Oh no, that was a test shot," he mocked before throwing a big handful and making sure every single piece hit me in the face. One particular bit stuck to my lip and I tried to get it off with my tongue, getting myself into a fluster as it wouldn't leave my face.
By the end of the film, we were all covered in popcorn and laughing until it hurt.
"That was the worst film I've ever seen!" I exclaimed once we were out of the building.
"Hey don't say that! I bet you didn't even watch it!" Ashton said still chuckling lightly. In all fairness he was right but I didn't dare say that.
"I watched about five minutes until you decided to throw popcorn at me!" I replied. Pointing an accusing finger at him.
"Actually, I think if I remember correctly, that you were the one that started that popwar," he corrected pointing at me and pushing my finger away.
"Well you obviously remember wrong! Luke started it!" I yelled, immediately passing the blame onto the boy who was now looking at me, completely bamboozled.
"What the hell did I do now?" he asked smiling.
"You started the popwar!" I said using Ashton's made up name for it.
"I did not! You threw a handful of popcorn at me!" he contradicted.
"Whatever it was still your fault," I said laughing and bumping my hip onto his, even though it ended up being his leg and I just tripped and fell.
I was about to hit the floor when a pair of strong arms wrapped around me. I stood up and collected myself, trying to play it off, before looking at my savior.
"Tha-" I stopped. I was stood face to face with Luke and we weren't at our usual distance. I could feel his breath on my nose and his eyes were locked on mine. The more I looked into his eyes the more I noticed how blue and beautiful they were.
"What was that?" he asked. I could almost feel the vibrations of his voice on me.
"What?" I asked confused.
"You said something about something being blue and beautiful?" he asked. I shook my head and finally stepped away noticing that we had got even closer.
"Nothing I was just thinking out loud," I replied, I wasn't lying, I just wasn't telling the whole story. He nodded slowly as if he had just realized who he had just been close to, that's when I did the same. I looked at him in disgust, turned around only to find Ashton even closer than Luke had just been.
