It had been a week since I had spoken to anyone, even Kaela I hadn't said much to. I could tell she was worried by the way she looked at me when she passed me in the halls but she didn't do anything, she knew it was what I needed. Ashton had tried to get hold of me but I couldn't even speak to him, the other three just stuck with Kaela all week.

I felt bad for leaving Kaela when she probably needed explanations but I just wasn't ready to give any. That night I went home my mum had yelled at me more than ever because of my damaged head and drunken state. She had then told my dad and they yelled at me making me feel even worse about myself. I went upstairs and cried myself to sleep and that was it. After that no more tears would come, I just sat in oblivion all weekend. No one tried to get in touch and that's the way I wanted it.

When I came back on Monday I had text Kaela saying that I was in a bad place and she got the hint when I didn't go up to her. Everyone gave us weird looks because we were usually inseparable but I didn't care, I could hear the rumours flying around about us and the new boys but I didn't say anything. I had enough on my mind, plus they would just twist my words and make something even bigger anyway.

"Hollie?" Kaela asked nervously from behind me. I twirled around smiling. I decided it was cruel to shut Kaela out, she knew everything about me and all she ever wanted to do was help.

"Hey babe," I chirped.

"Are you okay today?" She was still being careful but I nodded and she sighed in relief before wrapping her arms around me and squeezing. "I missed you so much! Please just talk to me?" She said.

"I will, I'm sorry Kae I was just stressed and last weekend was probably one of the worst since.. You know. I just needed space, I'll explain everything tonight at yours? My mum has me grounded for two months, but she doesn't care about you, she just won't want anyone over or you'll probably never see me again," I explained. She winced.

"I can't do tonight," she grimaced.

"What? Why?" I asked stunned she'd said no.

"I've had something planned with Calum, Michael, Luke and Ash all week. We're all going bowling and then to the movies then back to their place. I just really don't want to ditch them you know?" She said. I could see how bad she felt by the way she was standing and talking.

"Ashton?!" I exclaimed. I couldn't help myself, I knew she was sorry and I forgave her for meeting up with them but not him, he didn't even, he couldn't, why?

"Yeah well Luke told him about what we were doing and I guess he needed to get out, he's not been good all week," she said. Of course it was Luke, but that's when I took in all she said.

"What do you mean he hasn't been good?" I yelled so loud people on the other side of the park turn and stare.

"He's been worried H. I know you said you weren't going to do anything serious but every time I've gone over to see them he's just been in his room doing nothing but trying to get through to you," she explained. I hated the thought of anyone worrying about me, especially on the rare occasion that I liked them.

"I'll call him in lunch," I suggested. She nodded at me as if she was proud. "I missed you Kaela." When I said it out loud I realised how much I had missed talking to her. It was the right thing to do and I needed to have space but that didn't mean I didn't miss her, she was the only person I trusted with everything, I knew I could tell her anything and I loved it. I hugged her tight and we walked into our first lesson together hand in hand.

"Glad to have you back in the real world, I've got so much to tell you!" She squealed as we sat down. The teacher gave us a death glare but we didn't care. It was Friday and we only had two lessons all day.

"Girls at the back for the last time can you be quiet?! I'm trying to teach a class, which you are rudely interrupting," The teacher called from the other end of the room. We just giggled and Kaela looked at me knowing I already had a sarcastic answer planned.

"You are rudely interrupting our conversation! Now are you going to send us out? Because I looked it up and it's actually illegal to do that without supervision, so unless you want me to report you please just let me finish this one little thing?" I smiled sweetly at his beyond flustered face before turning back to Kaela.

"Anyway Kaela I was just going to say I hope you have fun tonight at Luke's house with the new boys and that I'll call you to see if you and Calum finally got together, or maybe you and Michael... But yeah. Okay sir now you can carry on," I said flashing yet another sarcastic smile his way. That wasn't at all what we were talking about but it made the teacher and every girl and boy in the class beyond annoyed. All the girls fancied the Aussies and all the boys either liked Kaela or the class or both.

Just as he started teaching again the bell went and I hopped up quickly and skipped out of the class thanking him for his amazing teaching.

"You're crazy," Kaela laughed as we walked out onto the field for our free period.

"In the right way," I replied winking.

"Sometimes."

"What is that supposed to mean? Huh?" I snapped bumping her with my hips so she fell onto the grass and say down cross legged.

"That sometimes you're crazy in a bad way, not to me though you're always good crazy to me, but that's because I know you," she quickly replied.

"Good answer Miss Stevens," I said giving her an evil look.

"I can be quick as well you know," she said kicking my knees so I fell onto the floor in front of her.

*******

"Should I call Ashton now?" I asked. We'd been sat outside for almost an hour now and we had another free so there was no need to get up and do anything. She had brought up what she was doing with the boys and he just flicked into my mind.

"I would, he does care about you," She said sympathetically, obviously she got to know the boys when I was gone.

I picked my phone up off the floor where it was next to me and searched his number. Nervously, I looked up at Kaela as I clicked his name and it started dialing.

"What am I gonna say?!" I mouthed as it rung. She shrugged and I scowled as he picked up.

"Hello?" A voice sung down the phone, it was scarily familiar but it wasn't Ashton's. I hung up instantly shaking.

"Kaela..." I nervously said.

"Yes?" She answered oblivious to my shocked state.

"Who isn't at school today," I asked her cautiously.

"What in our class?"

"No in our year..." I saw her hesitate.

"Why," she strung the 'y' out as if she didn't want to know the answer to her own question and didn't want to answer mine.

"I just want to know if I'm right or not." She gave me a worried look before thinking for a moment.

"Luke isn't, Robert isn't and..."

"And who?" I asked.

"And Milly. Why did you want to know?" I could tell she partially knew the answer but she wanted confirmation.

"Because it wasn't Ashton that picked up the phone, and it sure as hell didn't sound like a boy." I put my head in my hands instantly thinking the worst and only then did I notice how much I was shaking.

"Hey, hey Hollie no stop okay, you're probably expecting the worst okay? Just calm down everything is fine just stop thinking about it. Come on, how do you wanna get your mind off it?"

"Just get me food now," I said. It was the only way I could try and calm down. I hated her. She had ruined my life before and now she had to go and do it again.
