There wasn't many healers to help all the injured wolves in Lupus after the battle, but they made do with what they had.
It was a day later now, and there were still so many people injured, that they had to open the main house and use all the ground floor's offices to turn them into hospital rooms as well.

They were lucky because with everyone from Lupus, Bangtan and Min's Pack combined, there were only two deaths. One of them was Kim Hyuna, Yeonjun's aunt, and the other one was... well it was Yeji.

Lucas had fled from the pack sometimes after the arrow that was supposed to get Jungkook was shot. And they haven't seem him since. But they did however find his sister's body, dead by an overdose of wolfsbane. The scariest part wasn't that she was poisoned to death, it's that they discovered that she's been dead days before the battle. Whatever Lucas had done to save her, he was too late and he probably didn't even know. Or he knew, and that's why he chose to flee. Either way, it was a tragedy.
And still Seokjin, along with a lot of other wolves, were more than relieved that there wasn't more deaths, considering the Rogues and the silver weapons. Only two deaths was honestly a miracle. But he wouldn't lie that the injuries, on the other hand, were bad. Really bad. They ranged from missing limbs, missing eyes and fingers, internal bleeding, concussions and so on and so forth. Yet, the most difficult one to treat was Taehyung's, which was, in fact, an actual miracle if they've ever seen one before. The boy's heart had stopped beating for a some time before it restarted after he was marked. It's a wonder the arrow didn't move an inch afterwards, because it would've caused serious damage to the internal organs and he would've been dead within seconds, even after his heart resumed beating.
As it happens, Jungkook hasn't left his side for one second. He was there throughout the surgery and after it, he was there when the alpha was sleeping and he was there when he woke up, either to throw up or to request medication for the pain. He was there, and he made sure everyone knew he was there to stay, so no one would bother to send him away.

As for Namjoon, he was freed before The Council had fled, leaving him to join the battleground when all was over. Luckily, he arrived a bit after Taehyung had woke up, and Seokjin was so grateful he didn't get to see his brother lying dead on the floor. Namjoon wasn't of the same opinion. He hated himself for putting them into this mess and not being there to help; of course, blaming himself for everything. He was so messed up from The Council's torture that it was, to be fair, as if he's been part of the battle nonetheless. He was ushered to the healers as well to get treated, but the second he got out, he was swept away by Alpha Jeon and Alpha Min to discuss everything that's happened, and they haven't been outside of the apartment ever since.

Simultaneously, Jin refused to sit down for one minute, choosing instead to help the healers in their burdensome task. As the doctor of the pack, Moonbyul hasn't slept at all since the injured wolves have been checked into the clinic. She was the one who operated on Taehyung and that surgery alone took about seven hours. And so Jin thought he was damned if he went to sleep and let that poor woman handle everything alone.

To his surprise, Jackson and his unit managed to extinguish the fires as soon as The Council left, and they took it upon themselves to fix the pack grounds as best as they could. Unfortunately, most of Lupus' wolves were badly incapacitated, as they had been fighting way before the others' arrival, thus most of them currently filling the medical beds. Which left the rest of Bangtan, namely Jimin and Hoseok, in charge to the hospital duties alongside the Luna.

"Why don't you go change, Jungkook? I'll take over." Jimin's voice sounded softly beside him, but the boy startled anyway, turning to face the beta with tired bruised eyes. "Geez, you look like a zombie. Come on." Jimin's tsked, hand streatched out towards the alpha. Instead of taking it, Jungkook shook his head.

"I wanna be here with him." He said, his voice hoarse from all the crying he did for the past day.

"I know, but I promise he won't be going anywhere. He'll still be here after you go shower, change and get that checked." Jimin motioned to the gigantic wound on his abdomen. He'd worn a t-shirt over it but it was now all bloody from the unattended slice. Still, Jungkook shook his head.

"It will heal. You know I heal fast." He insisted. "Please," he then added in a small voice, taking Jimin aback. "I want to stay close to him. I really cannot leave him now."

Jimin suddenly looked from the two red dots on his best friend's neck to the clean neck on the true blood and hesitantly nodded. "If you need anything, I'm here."

Jungkook was glad to be left alone with his mate, he didn't want him to be out of his sight for a second. Plus, the incomplete mating wasn't the most pleasant of feelings he experienced. The side of his neck tickled endlessly. He felt a tug from the bond and the ghost of fangs where his mark should be. It's like his bond was unhappy the mating wasn't completed yet, and was pestering him about it. If he could wake Taehyung up and order him to bite him, he would've. But he knew it was way more complicated than that. He had to wait. He had yet to speak to the boy. Goddess knew they had so much to talk about. And the marking was only one of the many subjects they had to discuss.

But first, his mate had to wake up.

"They just left, without a word?" Namjoon still couldn't believe it. They tortured him in that basement for hours on end, and kept asking him questions about literally everything, questions that didn't even make any sense to him. Like questions about Jungkook's lineage and his true blood strength. Things Namjoon wouldn't even know, he's never seen the boy's wolf form to begin with! And amidst his confusion and pain, something snapped and he just kept yelling at them that they had nothing on him and if they wanted a real reaction, they might as well attack them right away.
How wrong he's been to say that. He really didn't think they would actually do it. And yet, here they were.

"We need to figure out why they wanted Jungkook, and why they wanted to kill him." Alpha Jeon stated, they were all tired and hurt, but they needed to figure things out before they could move on with any proper plan. Network has been restored at last and communication was now possible with the outside world.

"I don't think they wanted to kill him." Yoongi answered, a pensive expression on his face. "I think they wanted to capture him and use him as bait."

"What for, to get me to surrender?" Alpha Jeon raised his brows incredulously, "I thought they wanted the North, what do they want with us?"

"Well, you did declare alliance with Lupus and therefore with the North. And it's not like The Council underestimates your influence in the South." Alpha Min pointed out, even if Jiyong looked about to contradict him. "They figured if they got you to comply, nothing will stand between them and the North anymore."

Alpha Min's words made sense, thought Namjoon, nodding alongside the others in the room.

"It didn't work out, after all." He concluded, but something still loomed over his head, not making full sense. There were many elements he found were missing, some of them keys to understanding the whole plot of The Council, therefore helping them make a foolproof plan in case they decided to come back and finish what they started.

"We need to question them." Alpha Min suddenly declared, referring to the mates.

"Taehyung is still mostly unresponsive, after his surgery. And Jungkook isn't leaving his side." Yoongi explained.

After a short moment of silence, both Namjoon and Jiyong muttered a tired "about damn time" at once, causing the beta to snort out loud, and Alpha Min to stare at them in confusion.
