"Well look who finally made it back!" BamBam announced with a wide grin.

"Shut your mouth or you'll swallow a fly." Lucas snickered.

"Yah!"

Jungkook who was slowly walking behind Taehyung now fully clothed and in human form, had his head tilted down in thoughts. His mate copying his actions without knowing.
They were both confused and frustrated.
Not for the same reasons but about the same thing. It's not easy to withstand a mate bond.
And the marks that Jungkook failed to notice littered his neck were proof enough.
Both boys sat silently in their respective places without acknowledging the humorous fighting going on around them.

"Hey," a small hand wrapped around Taehyung's large one and he looked up to face his best friend's concerned eyes "are you alright? Did you guys fight again?"

Taehyung felt a weight on his chest at Jimin's face expression. He wasn't sure but he could tell it felt like something closer to guilt.

"Not really." He muttered and smiled at his best friend, the other returning it.

Taehyung felt guilty about whatever it was that happened between Jungkook and him in the stream even though the boy was his own mate. And he didn't know if it was because he really did love Jimin or because he still didn't get to apologize to the other.
He didn't want to think about it at all as of now and continued smiling at Jimin while playing with his small hands.

Both failed to notice the few hurt stares a certain raven head threw at them.
Jungkook was trying his damn best not to look their way but his head naturally followed them as they were facing him. He didn't know what was holding Taehyung back from accepting their bond but he quickly understood that it had to do with Jimin.
Unfortunately as much as he wanted to hate the blonde cutie, he couldn't.
It just wasn't fair.
It wasn't fair for Jungkook to tear them apart just because of the mate bond. Who knows how long these two have been in love? Jungkook can't seem to find it in him to separate them.
Sure, he was heartbroken and sure he will be for a very long time.
But the way Jimin was looking at his mate, as if he was his everything. And the softness in Taehyung's beautiful almond eyes when he looked back.
They were certainly and without a doubt in love with each other.
So who was Jungkook to ruin this for them?

A week passed by. Jungkook was already settled in the pack's apartment complex where he brought all his belongings and had gotten free access to all the facilities there.
It wasn't a traditional pack ground but it certainly was luxurious.
From a perfectly equipped gym to different sized pools and saunas down to training grounds in the woods. It was more than Jungkook could ever ask for.
He already familiarized himself with everything and everyone there, and made good friends with BamBam, Lucas and Mark who often crashed in his place instead of sleeping in the dorms.
They got along so well Jungkook almost felt bad for feeling as comfortable with people who weren't his former pack mates and family.
Only he forced himself not to, being adamant on starting fresh therefore nothing was going to stop him.
Nothing except his very mate that still hasn't rejected him- thankfully- but who he hasn't seen since the welcoming party.
Taehyung just disappeared along with Jimin which Jungkook did find odd before he was told that it was just the way that duo normally behaved.
Apparently Jimin and Taehyung were very closed off and rarely get seen with other wolves or humans for that matter except each other.
Truthfully, Jungkook didn't try looking for them either since he was honestly rushed with classes and drowning in assignments.
Meanwhile, He already made up his mind even though it was yet again one of the hardest decisions he had to make in his life. But he was practically sure that he was going to accept the rejection.

You see, Jungkook directed his own little investigation on the two best friends. It turned out to be really easy since no one knew that he was Taehyung's mate after all, but after asking around and based off of what he last saw of the two wolves he concluded that they were like actual soulmates.

And being the selfless loving person that he is, Jungkook took it upon himself to accept the rejection once Taehyung will pronounce it and end it all. Deep down, he felt like it was the best choice he could make. No matter the consequences. Sure he was going to get hurt. Maybe even an awful lot. But he was going to suck it up and make it his point to finally start fresh and new. Maybe this pain will make him brand new. Maybe he will embrace it and accept it as his fate or perhaps as a price to pay for leaving his family and his pack. Maybe it was going to be all worth it at the end of the day.

All he needed now was to talk to the brunette.

"Minnie! We're going to be late to class come on.." Taehyung desperately tried to pry the blonde away from him to get them ready for classes but Jimin was just awfully clingy today. And this whole past week as well.
He was whiny, clingy and over all horny.
Taehyung didn't have the heart to deny his best friend and this time they nearly went overboard. If Taehyung didn't panic and rush inside the bathroom where he stayed there for at least an hour.
He was confused and couldn't shake the lump he felt in his throat everytime he kissed his best friend.
Right. He wasn't even sure he could call him that anymore.
Things have just been out of control lately and the young alpha was about ready to collapse.
He could feel the weight of the mate bond but just refused to acknowledge it. Only he knew that sooner or later, he will have to face the ravenette.
And Goddess knew he wasn't ready.
He wasn't ready to look at those beautiful doe black eyes and feel himself floating and he wasn't ready to hear his breathy honeyed voice and melt or even smell his intoxicating unique scent and feel like the world is spinning. It was too much for Taehyung and he just didn't know how he would withstand all of that and reject his mate.
He was tired of being torn apart and guilty all the damn time.
He didn't even realize when Jimin got up from where he was straddling him and went to change and take a shower.
Taehyung just laid there on his bed, head spinning.
He heard the shower running and took it as an opportunity to slip away from the bed, grab his bag and rush out.

Jungkook was feeling absolutely shitty. He stayed up until two in the morning to finish a presentation he had to make for one of his classes, only to stay the rest of night wide awake, tossing around and whimpering in pain.
It was light at first, only mild pain in his head and chest but grew into an unbearable suffocating feeling until he couldn't sleep anymore. He wasn't sure at first but when the pain started crawling to the side his neck, exactly where the mark should've been. It dawned on him that it was the bond.
For a moment Jungkook thought that Taehyung had mated Jimin and he couldn't stop the tears that spilled uncontrollably from his eyes even if he tried.
But then it slowly calmed down until it reduced to slight discomfort that was just about bearable for him to close his eyes and succumb to morpheus arms.
Jungkook hated how weak his wolf was getting because of this and he was silently praying for it all to stop.
Just stop.

He didn't realize the moment he stepped out of his first class of the morning that someone was already waiting for him at the exit.

"Hyung?"
