What is Peace?
What is peace?
Peace is mental calm,
The quiet of the soul,
The resting of the body,
And of it what has been told?
Many mysteries and wonderings,
Many a desperate plea,
All have fought with fervor,
But what of it,
Have they forgotten peace?
With it there is no fighting,
And with it is there is no ring,
Of all the battle cries,
And that which victory brings.
Peace will bring a silence,
A golden one so true,
It will defy all science,
And lift your heart anew.
