We should remember
Peace is subjective
not just about war
but events elective
and so much more
Peace at home
and in the street
peace with friends
and strangers we meet
Battles are not all fought
with sword and gun
and peace is not
just something won
It is a state of mind
what we believe
and extremely difficult
to achieve
For each situation
there is a different goal
and in each
peace plays a different role
For each solution
that we call peaceful
time and circumstance
can unravel
Extrapolate your personal life
and its daily conflicts
to a world of billions
Is there a fix?
We might start with that
considered state of mind
every day in all we do
and perhaps we'll find
The path to a common peace for me and you
