A Crumbling World

The fighting echoes in my ears

A song of gunshots

And the screams of the innocent

As their houses burn

An awful melody of sound

A war zone

The soldiers die, and die in vain

To save their precious world

The tears of the innocent

Splash on the ground

As they mourn for their lost loved ones

No peace,

Honor,

Or justice

Our world is falling apart!

The wars grow closer

Bloodier, violent

People die

And we watch our world crumble around us

Peace is a

Gift

Something to be treasured

Peace is a glue

That shall hold our crumbling world together

Peace

Peace

A wonderful thing

The antidote for our crumbling mass of world

Peace is a wonderful thing

Such a gift

Why don't we treasure the small peaceful moments

And spread it across the world?

Just once

Perhaps

We could let peace wash over us

A calming wave

And watch as it spreads goodness around

Our crumbling world
