The Human Tree

Within the fertile soil,

Where God's hand did toil,

Was placed there, the seed of you and me.

Mother Nature gave her heart,

As Father Time did his part,

And from the seed grew a Human Tree.

Oh so tender and fragile at first,

But soon blossoms began to burst,

What a glorious sight it is to see.

Branches multiplied as the trunk grew,

The flowers exploded in every hue,

Although they came from this single tree.

Passing time, sees branches fall away,

But new ones are born everyday,

As they all bend with the wind strong and free.

It is true the branches grow apart,

But they all share a single heart,

All of our roots can be found in the Human Tree.
