Y/n POV:
It's been a few days since the incident with Mushitaro, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't still worried about him. Even with confirmation from Ranpo that he was indeed alright, I was scared that Fyodor might try something else to harm him. But I knew I had no real reason to be concerned, seeing as how Ranpo had Poe let him stay at his place here in Yokohama. How he found a place this quickly, I'll never know. Maybe he bought it ahead of time before arriving but still. Rich people are something else.
Back at home after a particularly exhausting day at work, I lie awake on my bed, staring up at the ceiling fan. As of lately, Osamu hasn't been home very often, if ever, and it makes me worried. I know he can handle himself well enough but that doesn't stop me from wondering what's keeping him away from home so often.
Haru is asleep beside me, having fallen asleep a while ago. My eyes drift towards my digital clock, the numbers reading 1:35 AM. 'I really need to go to bed soon.'
I can feel my eyes growing heavy yet never fully falling, my mind too awake for me to fall asleep. Figuring that lying here won't fix anything, I quietly stand up from the bed to go outside for some fresh air, careful to not make any noises that would wake up Haru. After exiting, I lock the front door behind me and settle down against the door. I was told to refrain from walking anywhere alone, especially at night. I figured I would be fine so long as I didn't actually leave the property.
Oh how wrong I was.

3rd-person POV:
The sound of a phone ringing wakes a certain person up, much to his dismay; that is, until he hears what the person on the other side of the phone has to say."Please, help! My sister... She... she won't wake up! I don't know what to do!" Haru cries into the phone, his breath short and uneven as he pants between breaths.
Ranpo straightens up in his bed from shock and horror, his body moving faster than his mind can process. He barely manages to put on shoes before leaving his home and heading straight for Dazai's house. 'Please be okay. Please be okay. Please be okay.' This one thought kept repeating in his mind, serving as a mantra to keep him believing that she would be alright.
It doesn't take long for him to show up, despite his difficulty with navigation. On the way there, he had called Yosano and urged her to come quickly, hoping she'd be able to access her at the house before transporting her to the Agency for further treatment.
Approaching the door, Ranpo spots a trail of spotted blood leading away from the house, but he ignores it for now, more focused on evaluating Y/n's condition. He knocks on the door and waits a few moments before Haru rushes to open the door, his face etched with concern and worry.
"Hurry! Quick!" Without giving him a moment to ask what happened, Haru drags Ranpo over to the couch where Y/n was passed out. "I heard a commotion outside which worried me so I went to check what happened and I found her lying unconscious in front of the entrance."
Y/n lay flat on the couch, spots of blood and rips on her clothes. Her breathing was steady but low, her chest just barely rising and falling. The red marks on her arms and neck indicated that she had been grabbed. There were a few shallow cuts on her arms, most like from self-defense based on the location of them.
"For now, can you get the first aid kit for me? I already called Yosano-san to come and properly check her out," Ranpo says to Haru while checking for any other injuries or abnormalities on Y/n's body.
Haru nods before heading to the kitchen for the first aid kit, grabbing a few towels as well and bringing the equipment over to Ranpo. "You know what you're doing?"
