Changes

Emily's POV

My eyes fluttered open slowly, the sun was flashing into my eyes which caused me to wake up.

I groaned. My head was pounding. I sat up and drank water from the cup next to me on my desk.

My phone buzzed.

It hurt my ears.

Text from Alicia.

'Just woke up, last night was amazing.'

I smiled, the first thing she did was message me.

I started tapping my fingers on my screen replying to her text.

'Goodmorning sunshine! My head is killing me, I don't really remember anything..'

I hit send and I heard a knock on my bedroom door.

"Come in" I told them

It was my dad.
"Hey dad!" I said, he sat on my bed and gave me a hug.

"You'll be late for school. Sorry Em, I wanted to see you before I went." he said patting my back

"You're going so soon?" I frowned

I didn't want him to go.

"They called me in, I have to. I just hope you'll be fine here with your mom.  I just want you to know I love you both so much and I want you to take care of your mother." he smiled holding my hands.

Dad...

I nodded as he got up and smiled at me before leaving.

He came back in.
"I almost forgot. Here Em; a present from me, it's not much but I've missed a lot of your birthday's but I want you to always know that I'll be with you." he got something out his bag and passed it to me.

There was pendant and a military jacket.

"Dad.. I can't take this."

"The pendant was my father's.  I wanted you to have it." he smiled closing the door behind him as he went down the stairs.

This pendant... I'll cherish it.

I put the jacket in my closet towards the back and got some folded clothes from the front and went to shower.

Emily's POV
I was now in the school hallways with my head pounding.

I didn't see my mom this morning, she must've went out.

I opened my locker and put my textbooks in.

I closed my locker and found someone lying on the next one.

"Hanna! You scared me." I scolded playfully

"My head hurts so much, I hardly remember anything."

"You too?" I laughed

"Well most of the time you were shouting shut up Hanna to yourself." Alison added

Hanna went red and muttered to herself.

"Your head's not hurting?" I asked Ali as she shook her head

Soon came Spencer.

"You made it on time." Aria said to Spencer.

This was a first. Spencer Hastings late would've been a first.

"You said it about 10 times and then you were calling people weird names." Spencer corrected

Hanna hit her head with her hand.
