Sam's POV
I hold into my head, coming into consciousness, I look around me at my surroundings to find out what happened to make me pass out. I see that I am in a bedroom, a fairly plain bedroom, and Justin sitting just beside my feet. I sit up, feeling dizzy and lying back down.
"Hey, hey, be careful there," Justin says, getting off the bed and bending down on my side, his face level with mine.
"W-what happened?" I ask him, wondering how I got in his bedroom. Last thing I remember is pulling into his driveway.
"We were walking up the stairs and a step happened to be wet and slippery. You slipped and fell, hitting your head and passing out," he explains and I understand, because that sounds exactly like something I would do.
"Do you think I have a concussion or anything?" I hear worry in my voice, but Justin is quick to shake his head.
"I don't think so. The accident wasn't that bad."
"Oh. Okay. Well what time is it?"
He pulls out his phone then tells me, "Eight. You were out for quite a while."
Eight. I need to get home.
I sit up again, this time ignoring the throbbing pain in my head, saying, "I need to go Justin. My mom could be worried about me."
"I don't think it's safe enough for you to drive yet, Sam," he tells me, standing up from his crouched position. "I don't want you to get hurt driving home."
"I should be fine," I reply. "Like you said, it wasn't serious enough for me to have a concussion. It should be alright for me to drive home."
"No. You need to wait. Just in case."
I start to feel a bad vibe radiating off of Justin and I start to get uncomfortable. I need to get out of here. I need to get home. We have school tomorrow for goodness sake.
I start to peel myself off of the bed, hoping Justin would get the hint and move out of my way, but he doesn't. He stays put.
"Justin, seriously. I have to leave."
"You're not leaving," he says and I scrunch my eyebrows up.
"Yes I am," I respond. When he still doesn't move, I push on his chest but he still doesn't budge. "Move. Please."
"You're not going anywhere," he tells me before pushing me back into the bed. I begin to have a mental breakdown, looking at all the seriousness of his face, but then I think this must just be a joke. Justin is just pulling a prank on me.
It then occurs to me that maybe I trusted the wrong person. Maybe I shouldn't have decided to come here. Because I know for a fact that this guy is not playing a joke. He is for real. He is not going to let me leave.
