Nancy took the RV to the Creel House and let Erica, Lucas, and Max jump out then made a U-turn back to Eddie's trailer to dump off Eddie and Dustin. She then continued down the path until she couldn't anymore and they all jumped out in open field and into the woods to Lover's Lake.

The water looked more appealing than it had the last time they'd all jumped into the portal but it still wasn't lost on him after he took a dive, he'd be at the mercy of demo-rodents once again.

"Remind me again on why we couldn't use the portal at the trailer like Eddie and Dustin?" Robin whined as she looked upon the water and the tiny row boat at its edge.

Nancy rolled her eyes, annoyed. Steve could tell Robin had grown on Nancy a little, but not really.

"Because we need to split up and create diversions," replied Nancy flippantly. "And this is closer to the Creel house which is closer to Vecna's body. Less room for error."

"OK. But I'm not rowing."

Steve shook his head at his friend and climbed into the boat, taking over the oars, and then waiting for them to pile in behind him.

They approached the portal in silence, all sharing somber, knowing looks.

"Remember, if anything goes wrong, we head to Eddie's and go through the portal." Said Nancy.

Steve nodded in acknowledgment and took the plunge.

The truth was, he wouldn't be turning back for anything. Not if destroying Vecna's body was the only way to bring Dylan back. What would be the point? What had he fought so hard for the last three years for if not to be with the people he loved?

He was starting to get used to the eeriness of the Upside Down, everything being the same but darker and more haunting. At least this time he was prepared with weapons and tactical gear. Steve wouldn't lie and say he wasn't afraid, he very much was, but his adrenaline and determination outweighed any feelings of fear.

The three of them trudged through the woods again, this time in the Upside Down, and this time more confusing and unclear. His stomach was in knots, praying to God they weren't lost. If Dylan didn't wake up and their poor sense of direction was to blame—

"Guys! Look!" That was Robin, who had been in the middle of a scolding from Nancy. "We are going through right way. Thank you very much."

Steve noticed the metal rungs of the playground equipment, all grungy and rusted now, and sighed in relief. He turned on his heel and noticed the murder house, even more creepy than in the real world, which he thought would've been impossible but it was with its weird, reddish glow and demobats swirling and squawking above it.
