I wake up the next morning to a quiet knock on the door. I get up out of bed to see that the sun isn't even up yet but I promised Bear I'd get up. She's smiling when I open up the door and I pick her up in a hug. She’s still in her pajama pants and tank top with her hair is a messy bun but she looks better than me. All I’m wearing are boxers and my necklaces with my hair a complete mess.
"Goodmorning to you too." Bear smiles as she pushes the hair on my forehead back and I lift my head as she does so. I rest my chin on her stomach and look up to see her smiling down at me, her hands playing with my curls. I carry her to the bed and when I put her down at the foot, she crawls towards the pillow.
"Figure we're up this early, we can watch the sunrise." I smile as I walk to the window and open up the curtains a bit.
“Oh great, considering I can only watch a few more." Bear says glumly and I turn around quickly to look at her.
"Don't talk like that. For the rest of the day, no talking like that. Deal?" I demand as I get in the bed beside Bear.
"Deal." Bear says and she lays back against the pillow, her head laying on my chest.
We talk for a bit about Doctor Who as we wait for the sunrise. The view from my window is spectacular and Bear is in a trance of sorts as she watches it. I look down and see that that the amazing shades of pink and purples are reflected in her amazing eyes. I didn't think it was possible for her to be more beautiful- I was wrong. She must've noticed me looking at her because she wore a smile.
"What are you thinking about?" I dare to ask and Bear gives me a curious look.
"About how I don't want to be anywhere else but here. You?" Bear asks, her smile getting bigger.
"About how much of a pretty picture this could be. And how I want this to last forever." I confess shyly.
"I showed you my sunrise drawing, right?" Bear said excitedly.
"Yeah, it's right after the running horses." I say and Bear looks impressed.
"Remembering the order? Glad to see that you liked my drawings so much." She says with a small nod.
"Well of course, you're drawings are amazing. Which is why you should let me see the drawing you showed Zayn." I say while poking Bear lightly in the stomach, smiling when she squirms at my touch.
"I'll show you when it's done, I promise." Bear laughs lightly.
"You better. You know, I've discovered that you're really talented. I'm mean you can sing-" I start but Bear interrupts quickly.
"No I can't-" she says quietly but I shush her.
"I thought this was a no judgement talk? Anyways, you can sing, dance, draw, are athletic and beautiful- But I'm pretty sure you don't even try to do that." I say as blush appears on Bear's cheeks.
"Thank you. But your pretty damn amazing yourself-"
"No I'm not-" I start but Bear quickly presses a finger to my lips.
"No judgement?" She said cheekily and I nodded my head for her to continue. "As I was saying, you are amazing. First, you can sing- like REALLY sing. You're always so caring, funny, and drop dead gorgeous. You are my best friend and I don't know what I would do if you weren't. But I have to be quite honest, I hated you when I first met you." Bear recalls with smile.
"What?! You hated me?" I ask quickly. Why didn’t she ever tell me this?! Bear burst into loud laughter.
"You ran right into me! You made me spill my coffee all over myself, so yes I was not happy with you. But then you were so sweet and apologetic. The beginning of a beautiful friendship." Bear smiles and she points to the necklace that's hanging from my neck, it being the necklace she got me for my birthday.
