"You are?" I ask, shocked. He grins, nodding his head. A strange emotion fills me, it's not happiness exactly, but more like relief. Relief that I am not alone, relief that I finally have someone who understands me. "When did you find out?" I question him carefully, because, if he's anything like me, this is a sensitive topic. He thinks about it for a moment before he answers.

"About a year ago. My skin started feeling really hot, so I went to have a cold shower. I thought it must've been a fever, but then my skin started turning gold. What about you?"

I'm stunned for a moment. He's never really... asked about me before. Though, honestly, I probably wouldn't have given him an answer anyway.

"Well, like I said. I was 14, and one night I woke up because I felt really cold. Then I saw my skin had turned silver, and suddenly I had wings," I explain, remembering my immediate reaction. I'd thought I was having another horrible nightmare. I'd had to punch myself a few times, just to prove that I was very much awake. Then, the next day, I'd gone to the library to see if there was a way to stop changing. Unfortunately, I would change into my 'true form', every time a full moon rose. Apart from that, I should be able to stop changing if I exercise control over my emotions and my magic. I guess that's why I feel so emotionally closed off sometimes.

"Do you know how to control your powers?" Callum asks. I think about that for a moment. I don't really control my abilities, which, for a Moon Fairy includes; reading people's minds and emotions, as well as prophetic dreams. I didn't learn to control them, I just more or less learned how to shut them off. Sometimes I feel them, in the back of my mind, picking up on people's thoughts and feelings. I feel like an intruder, knowing people's secret hopes and dreams, but it can't be helped.

"No, I don't. I sort of just... ignore them, or block them," I answer. Callum nods.

"I guess that makes sense," He agrees. He's still holding me tightly, and I realise that it must be such a drag for him to put up with my messed up feelings. I try to pull away, but he won't let me. "No, please don't. You make me feel comfortable and... I like your scent," Callum admits, blushing slightly. I just stare at him. Of all the people in both Earth and Celestia, he was the last person I would've guessed to enjoy my company.

"What do you mean 'you like my scent?" I ask him, wanting to know if he's really just saying that I smell.

"You smell nice," he pauses for a moment and buries his face in my hair, taking in deep breaths. I can't pretend that the small action doesn't bother me, even just a little bit. "Mmmm, like Lavender. Why do smell like Lavender all the time?" he wonders aloud. I look away from him. He's in off limits territory now, so I decide to lie.

"I really like lavender. It's good for stress, so I use lavender soaps, oils, and hair products. I even carry a little lavender bag around with me," I explain brightly, like the subject is cheerful and mundane (it really isn't, but he doesn't know that). Callum frowns at me for a moment, but decides not to say anything about what's bothering him. Good, he's a fast learner.

"Ella! Your Majesty!" a familiar voice calls out. I turn around and see Stephan running towards us. He's even in his guard uniform. I see a few humans giving him funny looks and smile. Emeraldians are so behind the time. He even called Callum 'your majesty'. Stephan clearly hasn't been to Earth before either.

"Stephan? What are you doing here?" I ask, bewildered and amused at the same time. Stephan looks at me, and then he looks at Callum.

"I could ask the same of you two," he shoots back, looking at Callum's arms around my body. Callum notices too. He pulls himself away from me, and looks at Stephan expectantly.
