first day

it was your daughters first day of preschool. you hated the fact that she was growing up.

she sat on the couch watching Paw Patrol while you cooked her breakfast.

"Briley, your pancakes are done!" you said from the kitchen.

Nate came walking down the stairs with your 5 month old son.

"Good morning, baby girl." he kissed Briley's forehead.

"morning, daddy." she said in her 3 year old voice.

Nate put your son in the high chair & came over to you.

"Morning, baby." he wrapped his arms around your waist, kissing your neck.

"morning," you whispered.

you ate your breakfast that you had prepared for everyone.

"Alright, time for school!" you got up.

"Yay! school!" Briley cheered.

you buckled her in her car seat, while Nate buckled your son.

you drove to school & dropped Briley off in her classroom.

you started crying.

"Bye Mommy!" Briley said hugging you.

"Bye, Daddy!" Briley hugged Nate.

"Bye, Luke!" she blew kisses to her brother.

you walked back out after saying your goodbyes to Briley.

you violently sobbed as you walked out.

"Do we really have to let her go?" you sobbed.

"I know baby. it will be okay. soon you'll want her to go to school." Nate laughed a little.

you laughed too.

"I love you."

"I love you, too."
