"Holy crap you're getting huge." Flame remarked while nursing Kat.

"Would you be quiet? What do you expect from someone who's eight months pregnant." I snapped while spooning at my cheerios. I wasn't in the mood for Flame's side comments.

"Ooh, somebody has the pre-conceiving moodiness."

"Whatever. And could please do that somewhere else? Or get a bottle?" I pointed to Flame's breast the was openly hanging out of her shirt as she nursed Kat.

"Oh it's not like you haven't seen this before, as for the bottle thing I read online that it's healthier for a child this age to breastfeed. The calcium is stronger, and it offers a closeness between mother and daughter." Having a baby had brought out a softness in Flame that I hadn't seen for a long time. When we were kids she was always the kind to help a worm on the sidewalk find it's way to the dirt, however when she ditched me she put a new hardcore image where she didn't care about anything. Kat had brought out something in her, something new.

"Look at you, Miss Mom-Of-The-Year."

"Anything for Kat." Flame whispered, stroking Kat's whispy brown hair. "I don't want her to look like her dad."

"Why? Because he's a jerk and never bothered to call or offer support while you were pregnant." Flame looked up, a small smile on her face but sadness in her eyes.

"Yup, pretty much. You wouldn't know though, I mean Erik is like a dad already, he's so experienced. I hope you realize how lucky you are. Like, forty-five percent of fathers of a teen baby ditch the girl before she gives birth. Who-hoo to me for being a statistic." Flame lowered her head, twirling little strands of baby hair.

I placed my bowl on the counter and walked over to where Flame was sitting, patting her shoulder. "But Flame, you have us. You have me, Erik and Becky. And that's three times better than one butthead of a dad." I smiled, and Flame laughed a little.

"Thanks Chastity. Sometimes I don't know what I would do without you." I smiled to myself, happy that things were almost the way they used to be when we were kids.

"We should probably head over to The Pregnancy Club now." I suggested. "I'll wait outside, tell Becky we're leaving." Because Erik wasn't home me and Flame had to walk over to Pregnancy Club. Not ideal for a pregnant girl, but I didn't want to bother Becky to drive us. It would also mean that we would have to drive with Kat, and so far Kat and driving didn't mix.

By the time we got to the library I was huffing and puffing like the Big Bad Wolf.

"Eat an apple, for God's sake." Flame snapped, but her smile said she was joking.

"Put some regular clothes on." I snapped back, referring to Flame's band t-shirt and pajama shorts, her usual mom-wear, which is quite a step from her low-cut black tops and miniskirts.

Flame gave me the finger and I pretended to gasp while pointing upwords, then putting my hands in prayer position. If my mom or dad could see me now they'd put me under house arrest, hanging out with Flame and apparently "mocking" God, which I wasn't doing. I still respect Him, I just realize that, unlike my parents, you can love Him without making Him your entire life.

"Okay girls, I was having some thoughts, and I wanted to see what you thought." Jen said once we were all seated. "I was wondering, do you all want to continue The Pregnancy Club even after all of you have add you children? Flame or Tanya, is it too much for you to take time out of your new scheduale to come?"
