I heard a knocking at my door but I had only just finished crying so I decided I’d pretend I wasn’t in. There was more knocking and I soon heard Conor’s voice. “(Y/N)? OPEN UP! IT’S CONOR.” I quickly ran down the stairs and opened it, wiping away the tears that had recently fallen. My heart stopped immediately. My eyes darted to his hands, his knuckles had blood on them and I was afraid that it wasn’t his blood. I also noticed blood splatters on his bright white top he was wearing. A gasp slipped out of my mouth and his eyes darted down to his top. I stepped back and slammed the door shut but Conor jammed his foot in the door, restricting me access of closing the door fully. “DON’T COME NEAR ME CONOR!” I ran up the stairs but he chased after me and grabbed my waist and pulled me into his chest. I began screaming and he clasped one hand over my mouth. I started to pound my fists into his chest trying to get away from him but it was a poor effort.

“(Y/N) calm down! Just let me explain!” More tears ran down my face and my eyes were wide open, my heart racing. “Please, just let me explain.” I stood there paralyzed, unable to move. Conor moved me into the bedroom and he released his hand from over my mouth. He placed me down on my bed and I moved as far away from him as possible. “Okay. Phil, my friend, his brother was put into hospital because of this guy called Liam, we paid him a little visit I only hit him a few times, it’s nothing (Y/N), honestly! You just over reacted.” I looked at him with horror in my eyes and he saw.

“I OVER REACTED?! YOU ARE COVERED IN FUCKING BLOOD CONOR! I THINK THE REACTION YOU GOT FROM ME WAS NO WAY NEAR OVER REACTING! THAT WAS PRETTY REASONABLE IF YOU ASK ME! YOU COME TO MY HOUSE AND THAT’S THE FIRST THING I SEE! YOU’RE FUCKING DISGUSTING! I DON’T WANT TO SEE YOU ANYMORE! GET THE FUCK OUT” Conor’s face turned sad.

“You don’t mean that…” Conor looked at the floor as he spoke to me. “You knew what I had to do when I told you I was in a gang. I have business to take care of (Y/N), you knew that but you still decided to be with me so don’t tell me that you didn’t expect this to happen at one point.” He was looking at me dead in the eye with a stern look on his face and I shook my head at him.

“Yeah, I knew you were in a gang but that doesn’t give you the right to turn up to my house, covered in some stranger’s blood, and expect me to be all cool about it. Why didn’t you clean yourself up first before you came round to see me?!”

“Because I remembered what state you were in when I left you and I knew you needed me. I didn’t think twice about going anywhere first before I came to see you. That’s why.” I looked at him with saddened eyes. “Please, don’t tell me to walk out your door because if you do, I’ll take that as your way of saying goodbye to me forever, we’ve only just got started. Don’t end this so quickly, please…” I looked at him for a while before I opened my mouth.

“I don’t want to end us, I’m so happy around you but I don’t know if I can deal with this side of Conor.” I gestured to his hands and top. “It scares the shit out of me Conor and what if YOU end up getting hurt. What will I do then?”

“I can take care of myself (Y/N).” I sighed and pushed my hands into my pockets. Not knowing what to say. “If I could get out of this gang shit then I would, I’d do it for you, you know that, but I can’t, there’s nothing I can do about it. So I guess you can have me how I am…or just tell me to leave now…I don’t want that but if it’s what you want then there’s nothing I can do about it I guess…”

“Conor…I…I don’t want you to go…I NEED you to stay…Please.”
