"It's time I really tell you what happened to your father" she said. I didn't know what she meant. I thought what she had told me was the truth. Apparently, that wasn't so.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"I mean.....I need to tell you where you came from. What those scars mean. I forgot all about them, because your life was as normal as ever and I lost track of reality." Forgot? Normal? Reality? WAS?
"What do you mean, my life was normal? It is normal!" She looked up at me with sad eyes and was ready to share what she had held back from me for sixteen years that would change my life forever.
