Leon's POV
I slowly looked around, watching as people started to surround me. Doctors, Nurses, and any other type of staff surrounded me. I could faintly hear the demanding shouts, the frantic beeping of my heart monitor. As I strained to hear my monitor, a wave of panic crashed into me. My heart monitor was becoming slower and longer.
Beep...
Beep...
Beep...
Beep...
Guessing that Ron had abandoned the scene, I felt my breathing start to become dangerously shallow. The bullet shot that was on my shoulder, I could barely feel it anymore. In fact, I couldn't feel my body anymore; only a torturous numbing sensation. Within minutes, I couldn't feel my body at all. I felt like I was floating on air; flying, almost. My vision started to blur greatly, though, I could still see the staff surrounding my weak form.
"Too... Loss... Failure..." I could faintly hear one of the frantic Nurses, barley making out what she was saying.
Beep...
Beep...
Beep...
Exhaustion crashed into my body like a train. Help... I opened my mouth to screech that one word out. Nothing but a small gasp came from my lips. My thinking started to slowly fade away, like a running faucet being shut off. Feeling fresh tears spill from my eyes, I started screaming inwardly. I was dying. Ron had killed me.
Beep...
Beep...
Help! Please, someone help! I inwardly cried, more tears spilling my eyes. Slowly and weakly, I thrashed my head from one side to another. I felt like I was slipping away. Drifting away from life itself. I felt my body suddenly convulse. Slowly looking down, I could see the Doctors shocking my frail body. They were trying to pull me back from where I was going. Please... Smiles help...
Beep...
Feeling my head flop down, I sluggishly closed my eyes; feeling them roll into the back of my head. My body convulsed once more as Doctors and Nurses tried bringing me back; frantically calling my name out. Everything started fading away from my body. From me. I couldn't hear the panicked voices anymore. I couldn't feel the convulsions of my body. It felt like I was floating on thin air again. I was surrounded by nothing. By darkness.
I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! Smiles, I love you... Please forgive me for leaving! I've failed everyone... My friends... My new formed family... Smile Dog...
Beep...
Alyx's POV
"I'm so sorry..." A male's voice on the other line of the phone apologized, "His heart gave out... We tried our best to save him... The cause of his heart failure might be from the blood loss..."
"T-Tha-Thank y-yo-you..." I stuttered, swallowing the large lump in my throat.
Sliding down the kitchen counter, I hung up the phone; trying to comprehend what I had just heard. Tears welled up in my eyes, my heart twisting in horrible sorrow. Dr. Mathews had called the phone a few minutes ago. Leon had passed away. My little brother had died. He was fine when I left! He was completely fine! Fighting back the tears that threatened to spill from my eyes, I shook my head; refusing to believe that my seven year-old brother was dead. No! This is just some twisted, sickening joke that Jeff and Ben are pulling! No matter how much I tried, I couldn't convince myself that it was some twisted joke. The tears came flowing down my cheeks, my breathing became labored; I felt like I was hyperventilating. I felt like I couldn't breathe right.
