Yes, it is May in this story, and it will soon be June, and, yes, Virginia wears long sleeves and long dresses in summer weather. Deal with it. At least France has the power as her older brother(they're not related in any way) to make her wear something fashionable for the time period. (That wasn't a spoiler at all...) And Russia will NOT be at this party, even if he is part of the Allied forces. However, I just thought it was about time England found out about them being siblings(again, they are not related in any way), and for everyone to find out who the guy from her last couple of letters is (although I'm sure you already know, since I didn't hide it all that well).
Also, before any of you ask, Eight, or the girl who drowned, was only partially blind. She could still make out lights around her, kind of like you can when you close your eyes. She also had a twin when she was younger, but he died and she became blind from tuberculosis. However, that was irrelevant to the story, so I didn't mention it.
