Chapter 12: NEW LIKINGS AND A SHOW

Harry's POV

"You're on in 5 boys," the lady with a head set and a clipboard announced as we were in the break room.

"Wow I just can't believe it," Louis said as we waited

"What you mean lad," Niall asked

"Today, today 3 years, 3 years since X-Factor and boom we're here living our dream. As cliché as that sounds it's the truth."

"Same here glad I made it with you guys, best decision ever I say," Liam joked

"Okay boys let's get this thing going." We followed the woman to the curtains that lead to the usual stairs we were very familiar with; we waited for our queue,

"They've just gotten back from their 6 month trip in the states, have a new music video out, new album coming, with their first film called 'This Is Us', and a new stadium tour in 2014; please welcome Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne also know as One Direction!" And we were off we walked down the stairs and stopped mid way to wave at the crowd full of teenage girls and adults.

We shook Allen's hand and sat on the couch in the order we were called. "So to start off regularly how about some drinks, I've got..." my mind started to drift to Alexis, I felt so bad about leaving without saying bye. She looked so peaceful sleeping I didn't want to wake her. I went back to the show to see I had a tall skinny glass in front of me, I took a swig and new it was just sparkling water.

"So boys tell me how was your trip to...California was it?" he asked

"Yeah, it was great busy, got tans not so pale anymore," Liam answered

"I can see that Niall's not the friendly ghost we saw when you were last here. Now to the topic I always start, who's single and ready to mingle like oh Allen boy over here," he shimmied his shoulders earning laughs, "and who's still off the market," we just looked at each other not knowing if I should announce it now, "How about a show of hands who's single," As Allen raised his own, Niall and Liam followed. "Harry did you hear me?" my heart raced,

"Yeah loud and clear," okay here it goes, the crowd gasped,

"OH MY GOD HARRY STYLES, HAROLD STYLES, HAROLD EDWARD BLOODY STYLES!" he said in exaggeration placing a hand over his heart.

"Yup I know, sorry ladies I'm off the market." I said in confidence with a smile just thinking about her,

"I don't believe it may I ask since when?" I knew if I said just a couple days ago it be harder with the press so I lied,

"It's been about a month know," his eyes lit up at the fact I was announcing this on his show,

"Oh my well congrats, do we have a name?" he asked I remembered what Alexis wanted,

"Well we'd like to keep some of her facts as I should say, rather personal before we have a bunch of people starting to google her and stuff like that,"

"Oh I understand, well I'm excited is she here?"

"No we left a bit early so she was asleep when we left,"

"Oh Harry we could ring her!" wow thanks Niall

"Oh that would be splendid may we?" I nervously nodded and people on set were starting to hook the microphone to my phone so everyone could hear. I dialed her number hoping that she wouldn't answer within 2 rings her voice rang through the speakers,

"Morning Harry," she said sweetly, I smiled at her voice

"Hi babe uh I've got a little favor to ask," I said

"Okay, wait aren't you supposed to be on a show today I though it should have started?"

"Uh well that's what I wanted to ask, see I'm on it now,"

"Now!" her voice going a bit high, Allen cut in before I could talk.

"Hi, love this is Allen Carr from the Chatty Man show, it's very nice to speak to you I hope we didn't wake you." He said happily

"Uh hello, and don't worry I woke a little while ago I'm currently sitting with a cup of orange juice,"

"Wow an American accent, where are you from dear," uh oh did she want to say

"Yeah I'm from Seattle, Washington." Well that answers it.

"Now Harry says you'd like to keep your name unknown for now?"

"Yeah it's just I- uh well I don't really have an answer but I feel like it's better to have some part of me unknown before people start looking me up and such."

"Well that's reasonable, now did you say you just woke, so you're saying you aren't in the states?" shit oops

"Uh I um," I cut her off

"She's living with me and Louis," I said

"Wow now how's that going sweetie?"

"It's fun Louis and Harry are always entertaining and always bantering about and it's just fun."

"And how is it having a third roommate Louis?"

"It's actually really fun, she's funny and a bit of a jokester I might add. I don't think I meet anyone that can think of a joke as fast as she can,"

"Oo can we here one now," Allen asked

"Sure uh...oh, What do you get from a pampered cow?"

"Love is that a fat joke?" the crowd laughed and Niall nearly lost it, "I'm joking I give up,"

"Spoiled milk," it was actually funny cheesy just like the others, she actually made all of us laugh

"Funny well I hope one day we can meet up and you know go clubbing woot woot, Harry you're staying home." I laughed, "Well it was nice chatting with you bye,"

"Same here thank you bye, bye guys" she said towards the lads which they said bye back. I hung up my phone and took the microphone off and slipped it back in my pocket.

"Wow well she sounds nice, but back to you boy first off I would like to say Happy Third year anniversary..." and the usual went on.

~AT HOME NOW~

"It was just awkward she kept 'accidently' touching my bum," I laughed as Louis complained about the handsy fan. We walked in the kitchen with bags of take out,

"Alexis lunch is here if you're hungry!" I yelled from the kitchen as I took out the boxes, I started to jog up the stairs to find her. I opened her door expecting to see her napping but she wasn't. She was sitting criss cross on her bed. She was wearing my black tee and her hair was over her shoulder but it was damp, probably from a shower.

"Alexis? Babe?" oh no I hope she's not mad at me from calling her on the show.

"I couldn't take her out 'cause Mom's got no money, It's stuff like this that makes me wish that I could change somehow sitting here at home, it's obvious" She sang, I remember those lyrics. She was singing Try Hard by 5 Seconds of summer.

"Cause I'm not being me, and it's getting me down, That she makes me think, makes me think, That I try, that I try, that I'm trying too hard again 'Cause I'm trying too hard again" as I looked closer she had a book in her hand and a pen in the other, I walked closer and looked over her shoulder to see doodles, I slipped and knocked into the bed. She pulled out her ear buds and quickly shut her journal.

"Harry you scared me," she breathlessly said

"Sorry uh um there's lunch, you're favorite Chinese." I stuttered

"I'll be down in a sec," I walked out after that, 'What's in that journal and SINCE WHEN DID SHE LIKE THE LADS (5SOS). Guess I'll have to give her another surprise.'
