A/N This poem was written for my best friend, she is an amazing person, who was betrayed and because of that betrayal has to endure the homophobic comments of her peers in a silent torture. This is for her.

A girl stands infront of her

cracked fragile mirror

A wish on the tip of her tongue

to please dissapear

She holds her heart in her hands

like a last sacrifice

From her back portrudes

the blood stained knife

Tears fall down like the

walls she had so stubbornly built

Her shoulders lean forward

like a rose bound to soon wilt

the weight of their hatred

Casting their own stones onto her body

The whispers at her famed sexual oddity

But still she stands, like a statue of stone

In her dark room with the blinds tightly closed

Begging a mirror who shows only

a cracked simple reflection

Pointing back to her every minor imperfection

Forcing her to remain in a world

That is flooded by unheard cries

Silenced by thundering hatred

that echoes like their blood

stained eyes

A portrait of sorrow

In perfection condition

Existing in silence like an

unspoken admission

Reflecting the mirror of societies hate

By showing a girl

Who just couldn't be straight.
