I wish I could whisk you away
From this terrible place
sing you to sleep
in a constructed embrace
Close your damp eyes
And block the moon with my thumb
So all you see are the stars
Twinkling like suns
That never shine brighter
Than the light you emit
That are never as warm
As your hand in mine fits
That are so far away
From this God awful place
A million miles of distance
Between your beautiful face
But I'd put that between us
If you no longer shed tears
I'd put you on Pluto
if it meant you no longer had fears
I just want you to be happy
And away from the pain
I want you to be in my arms
As I whisk you away.
