"You're bleeding," she said after they outran the bad guys in an alley. It started to drizzle, and Clark raised her hand to touch Hopkins' eyebrow, but he backed away. "What the—"

"Oh, now you care?" Hopkins snapped, cleaning his face with a grunt. She frowned, her green eyes shining in the dark. "In Turkey you didn't seem to mind that much."

"At least I didn't hand the coordinates to the guy."

Hopkins furrowed his eyebrows. This. Woman. "Are you fucking for real? He was gonna rip your eye out! You know what? Fuck this shit. Let's grab a car and get back to Spankin'."

"I didn't bring my keys, darling," she joked.

Irritated and feeling that damn cut burning, Hopkins elbowed the driver's window of the first car he saw. A little smile lit his face when no alarm sounded. "Good thing I always bring mine, sweetie."
