After forty minutes and not a single word from them, she gave up of walking around the living room and decided to make some coffee. Her hands were shaking when she turned the coffee machine on, its low buzz filling the empty apartment. Spankin' faced the clock on the kitchen wall as if her desperate looks could make time goes faster.

Shit, just come home.

Sometimes she liked to imagine Clark and Hopkins as her parents. It always soothed her poor nerves to think about their team like that; a normal little family living without gunshots and crazy rich people. Parents and daughter just drinking soda and having nice dinners in the backyard, ordering pizza and talking about, well, about nothing. That's what families do, right?

She chuckled and had a hard time picturing that suburban scene with Liz and Liam. We'd be a fucking complicated family.

Spankin' sighed when she heard Liam's key spinning inside the lock. She offered them coffee in old mugs and, while listening to the current status of the mission, Spankin' decided complicated families were her favorite type of family.
