Maddie's POV
After mommy had left and I was with my teacher Ms. Symphonic I started to get scared
"Maddie I can show you to your cubby and then you can pick out something from the pretend area to keep at your desk" Ms. Symphonic says to her as she shows her to where her cubby was in the classroom
I was a little excited to have something at my desk with me through the day
"Maddie do you have anything special I need to have?" Ms. Symphonic asks her
I nod as i reach in for what she needs so I can hear her
"Thank you Maddie I will put this one before class starts so you can hear me" Ms. Symphonic says to her as she takes her to the pretend area to pick out something that she can have with her
I pick out a doll baby that was dressed okay for me and took it to my desk
"Now to put your name tag on and you can go to your desk" Ms. Symphonic says to her
Ms. Symphonic puts her name tag that had a crayon on it and helps her to her seat while the other boys and girls were slowly coming into the room
"Okay Maddie can you hear me now?" Ms. Symphonic asks her
Maddie gives her the thumbs up cause she could hear her teacher just fine as the other school children came into the room for the first day of school, and some of them were really scared about there at school, and they wanted their mommies or daddies there with them
"Hi I'm Phoebe" a girl says as she came to sit with Maddie at her table
"I'm Maddie" Maddie says smiling to the girl that came to her table
"Mind if i sit here everywhere else is full and some kids don't like me" Phoebe says to her friend says she takes a seat
"Not at all Phoebe" Maddie says as he new friend takes her seat
Maddie saw that Phoebe had bruises on her arms
"Phoebe where did you get the bruises?" Maddie asks her friend
"I fell going up the steps this morning to get ready for school" Phoebe says as she covers up the real truth that she was hiding
Maddie just went with it as another girls that walked with a cane came over to the table as well
"Mind if i join you two?" the girl asks them cause she felt uncomfortable being at school on her first day
"Sure" Maddie says to her friend
"Thanks you very much" the girl says as Ms. Symphonic brought over some special paper for the new girl to have
"Ms. Symphonic what's that special paper?" Phoebe asks as she hides her bruises from her teacher
"It's call Braille and it helps kids who are blind with the words that are on the paper" Ms. Symphonic says to Phoebe as she headed up to the front of the room cause the last one came in with their service dog
Maddie and Phoebe nodded
"Name Phoebe" Phoebe says as she introduces herself to the new girl
"Maddie's my name" Maddie says to the girl
"Name Savannah" the girl says as she sits with the girls that were going to be at her table for the school year
"Nice to meet you" Maddie and Phoebe say as they go back to their school work that they were doing
Maddie knew that she was going to have the best friends anyone could ask for
"Girls I hope it's okay if the last one sits with you, so if something goes wrong you can tell me" Ms. Symphonic says as sh leads the last girl of the bunch to the table
Maddie, Phoebe, and Savannah nod cause they were going to welcome the new member with opened arms cause they were excited to have a fourth best friend join them at their table that year
"Thanks girls and since you girls are so nice you girls get to pick something from the treasure chest cause you shared your table with a classmate" Ms. Symphonic says to the girls cause she had the best students in the class already and she was proud to have those three girls in her classroom
Maddie, Phoebe and Savannah were excited to pick something on the first day of school
Once the girl that had her service dog put everything away she came over to the table
"What's your name?" Maddie asks the girl as she took her seat ash she finished her paper
"Beverly" the little girl says as she sat down
"Nice to meet you Beverly" Phoebe says to her says she had to get up and move cause her legs were hurting her from the bruises that were on her legs as well
"Phoebe you okay?' Savannah asks her fiend that was walking around the classroom
"My legs hurt is all" Phoebe says as she hides what really happened to her
"Do you need to go to the nurse?" Maddie asks her friend a little concern
Phoebe shakes her head no as she sits back down after a while and she was going to move her legs under the desk to keep them going
The girls worked quietly until carpet time that morning
"Blaze come" Beverly says as she gets her service dog so they could head for the carpet
Blaze gets up and follows Beverly to the carpet that morning
"Good Blaze" Beverly says as she sits in a chair that Ms. Symphonic had gotten for her
Blazed laid down close to Beverly
Savannah sat next to Beverly cause she didn't want her cane to break
"Phoebe are you okay?" Ms. Symphonic asks cause Phoebe was walking a little slow to the carpet
Phoebe nods as she covers up what her parents do to her
"Phoebe I am going to take you to the nurse cause I don't like those bruises and you are walking with a limp like you are in pain" Ms. Symphonic says as she takes Phoebe to the nurse before it was too late for her
