A Nightmare Into A Reality

Chapter 24

It was a sunny morning and some reason I was in a really good mood.

"Melody you want to help me make breakfast?" I asked her.
She loves helping. I think it's so cute.
We were frying bacon and some grease got on her arm. I never heard her scream so loud. She had a little burn on her.

"It's ok Mel" I kissed where the greased touch her. "See all better!"
She wrapped hey arms around my neck and gave me a big hug.

"What's with all the scream and why does it spell so good in here?" Colby asked awakening from his name.

"Melody got a little burnt and also she made breakfast." I said
Colby picked her and started talking to her.
"You made breakfast? That's my girl." He said.
"Mm hm. You should thank me. Cooking is hard work and painful."
Melody in her sassy attitudes.

"That's your daughter" i started laughing.
"She might be my daughter but she takes after you." Colby said pointing at me.

It's true she has my attitude. Which is going to be so much fun in her teenage years. She's going to be a rebel I know it.

"Mommy what's ben going to eat?" Melody says while looking into his crib.
"He going to drink milk. Is that ok with you?"
"Mm him." She smiled away.

While still making the pancakes. Colby came right behind me.
"How my wife this morning?"
"Pretty good actually and about to get better."
"Why?"
"Cause if this."
I put pancake batter on his nose and to get back at me he put in on my face then licked it off.

"Get your tongue of off my face." I said pushing him away.
"It's not like I never had my tongue on you before." Colby said jokingly.
"Whoa whoa children in the kitchen. Be careful what you say around melody." I pointed my finger at him.
He tried to bite my finger but I pulled it away.

It was finally time to each breakfast. I was looking around at Colby, melody and Ben.

This is my family. I can't believe this is my family.
