Moving to Beacon Hills was by far the coolest, and weirdest thing that has ever happened to you. You discovered the existence of the supernatural and met some pretty amazing people along the way. Now, you can proudly say you're a member of the McCall Pack, and, a druid.

Well, a druid in training that is. You first found out about druids when you tagged along with Scott to his work. He and Deaton were talking with a patient out front so you had decided to look around at all the medicine and things. It wasn't long before you stumbled upon some interesting things; wolfs bane, kanima venom, mountain ash. After questioning Deaton about every single item, you practically begged him to train you. And, he was more than happy to have you as an apprentice.

It was Friday, and instead of heading home, the whole pack is staying after school. The boys practicing before a lacrosse game with Devenford while you and the girls sat in the bleachers, doing homework (but mainly just talking about anything but school work). It was a nice little break from all of the craziness of the benefactor issues.

The feeling of eyes on you drew your attention away from your textbook as you met the gaze of Brett Talbot. You had met him a few times before. He being a werewolf and all meant your pack was bound to meet his at sometimes. You always found it odd that although you were human, you got along quite well with supernatural creatures, especially Brett. The two of you had some sort of unspoken connection, but you were too scared to ever admit it. He smiled and winked at you from across the field, causing you to turn several shades of red.

"Why don't you two just admit your love for each other already?" Lydia's voice pulled you out of your trance as you turned to meet her smirk.

"I have no clue what you're talking about Lyd." You tried to play off your hopeless crush.

"It's so obvious. You two reek of infatuation." Malia butted in, receiving a high-five from Kira for Malia's use of vocabulary.

You looked back to Brett as he practiced his aim. Was it really that obvious? Does he notice? The buzz of the game about to start interrupted your thoughts and, with some burst of courage, you walked down to the field.

"Hey stranger." You say as the tall figure in front of you turned around and engulfed you in a big hug, spinning you around.

"Y/n! How's my favorite girl?" Brett set you down, leaving his arms around your waist, smiling down at you.

"I'm well." You giggle, "I just came to wish you good luck!"

"Oh please. You know we'll win."

"Don't tell Stiles I agree with you."

"Hey! I hear you over there! Talbot get away from her! And y/n, stop fraternizing with the enemy!" Stiles yelled from a few feet away. You laughed and put your hands up as a way of saying "I surrender" and made your way back to the bleachers, waving bye to Brett.

The game took a sharp twist quickly. You knew Scott was looking for the benefactor but you never thought anyone would get hurt that night. That is until Garrett cut Brett with a hidden knife in his lacrosse stick. The knife was poisoned with wolfs bane and Brett was taken off the field immediately. Stiles rushed Brett to the animal clinic while you and Derek drove close behind.

Fumbling with the keys you opened the doors as Derek and Stiles set Brett on the table, trying to control him.

"Where the hell is Deaton?" Stiles shouted.

"I-I don't know. He must be out with a patient or something."

"Vets do house calls now?" Derek questioned giving you a pointed look.

"He's not just a veterinarian. Now hold him still!" You said grabbing a small knife, "I need to make an incision."

"Yeah come on Derek, use your werewolf strength." Stiles joked.

"I'm not the only werewolf in the room." Derek growled back in reply, looking down at the glowing yellow eyes and flashing fangs of Brett.

"Brett. Hey love look at me." You moved in front of his face so you were the only thing he could see, "You've gotta stay still so I can help you okay? I promise you'll be alright."

Derek and Stiles watched amazed as Brett calmed down enough for you to make a small incision in his chest, releasing a cloud of yellow smoke into the air.

He let out a growl and began catching his breath. Stiles received a call from Scott so he and Derek stepped out of the room, leaving you alone with Brett, standing at his side as he still lay on the table.

"Thank god you're okay. I wasn't entirely sure that would work." You chuckled lightly as you looked at Brett.

"You don't give yourself enough credit. That was amazing. You saved my life y/n." Brett grabbed your hand, bringing it up to his lips and kissing it softly.

He closed his eyes, still grasping your hand before saying, "Would you like to go out on a date sometime?"

"Well, I uh-"

"Look y/n I'm completely head over heels for you. And I know you feel the same way, I can smell it." He smirked, "I'm just sorry it took me almost dying to finally ask you out."

You giggled at his admission of his love for you. It made you so happy to know he felt the same way.

"So is that a yes?" He opened his eyes to meet yours.

"Of course it is." You smiled. "But, you really should get some rest first. You need to get better before you worry about going on a date." You chuckled.

"As long as I've got you I'm golden." Brett said as he closed his eyes to sleep.

A few minutes later, Stiles and Derek walked back to tell you the new on Violet and Liam to find you sitting in a chair next to the table, laying your head on Brett's chest as the two of you slept, still interlocking hands,

"Well it's about damn time. I was getting sick of smelling desire for each other all the time." Derek said folding his arms over his chest.

"You're telling me. I could smell it and I'm not even a werewolf." Stiles scoffed, but eventually smiled at the two of you.
