Mavis x Zeref ( The Only One Who Cares)

Zeref Pov

I've just found Mavis again; though everything has changed she's still a happy person but the gleam in her eyes used to be so bright, but not anymore. Mavis has been crying for the last hour and I didn't know what to do; I just hugged her tight and didn't let go for her and also for me as well. " Mavis? will you tell me what's wrong please?" I asked gently not wanting to set her off or throw her back into another crying fit. " M-My parents... T-they're D-dead." she croaked out, I was shocked " What happened Mavis?? or do you not want to talk about it." she just looked up at me with teary eyes and just said one word " Murdered." I just looked back at her and she started to cry again.. I held her close to me. " my parents are gone to.." I whispered to her " what happened to them." " they were coming home and they were killed by a drunk man who mistook my mom for his wife." She just hugged me and continued to cry. " i'm sorry Zeref!" " Mavis it's not your fault.. We both had a hard 12 years.. I'm just glad your back here.. w-with me." she just smiled at me and I  just hugged her tight " oh I've missed you so much. I'm glad you're back. Now I just have to tell you that I love you."  We sat under our tree for about an hour, I just hugged  Mavis and refused to let her go. And she didn't want too either " Mavis? I think we need to start heading home now.." " I'm not sure I want to go home right now." she said as she looked me in the eyes.  We got up and started to head home, though Mavis grabbed my hand as we walked home; to say the least it startled me. She just looked up at me and gave me a closed eye smile. It was late when we both got home; " Zeref.. can I come to your house for a while I don't want to go to mine quite yet.." I just nodded and pulled her over to my house and let her in. I saw Natsu and Lucy sitting on the couch, but they weren't the only ones there. Brandish was sitting there with Natsu and Lucy talking. " Hey Zeref!! can you come here." Lucy said to me though she noticed one person beside me and her eyes went wide "Oh crap! Natsu look." Natsu just looked over his shoulder and saw me and Mavis holding hands. " com'on Mavis.. We're going somwhere else ok?" She just looked at me and then at Brandish and nodded. "Zeref where are we going?" " Anywhere but here." I replied 

Mavis Pov

After sitting with Zeref for what seemed like an hour he said " Mavis? I think we need to start heading home now.." " No. I don't want to leave just yet.. I'm afraid If I do, you'll leave as well." I just snuggled into Zeref more and said " I'm not sure I want to go home right now." He just sighed and helped me up and we started to walk back home, We were walking back in silence and I gripped Zeref's hand. I felt him stiffen but I didn't want to let go he just relaxed and held my hand as well. We walked on the way home though Zeref seemed to avoid the topic of parents, We reached my house and Zeref started to turn me around to tell me goodbye though Ispoke before him " Zeref.. can I come to your house for a while I don't want to go to mine quite yet.." Zeref just looked at me and just nodded and grabbed my hand and led me over to his house and opened the door. We walked into his house and I saw Natsu and Lucy sitting down on the couch, I also saw another girl she adorned some weird things on her ears. Yeah I wore wings on my ears but that's different. Zeref saw this girl and he looked shocked and mad at the same time. Lucy saw Zeref and called out to him  " Hey Zeref!! can you come here. Oh crap! Natsu look." Her eyes widened when she saw me I looked at Zeref and his eyes were red " Oh crap he's very angry... I can't believe Lucy and Natsu tried to set Zeref up with someone else! I really like Zeref and the thought that they would set him up with someone else hurts me very much.." " com'on Mavis.. We're going somwhere else ok?" he said in a very strained voice trying to keep his anger from boiling over but I just nodded and we left his house holding hands. We kept walking away from Zeref's house and away from my house. " Where are we going??" I asked as our houses were fading in the distance as we got further away from the neighborhood; he just turned his head and said " Anywhere but here." I  didn't ask anymore questions after that just held Zeref's hand as we walked. Zeref walked to an apartment building and opened the door and let me go in first " It's not much.. but I just bought it not to long ago, I'm moving here my senior year." he said as he scratched the back of his head nervously. It wasn't bad looking it was actually very nice It was a one bedroom apartment with a seperate kitchen and bathroom. It was already decorated nicely he just stood there not really knowing what to say. he finally spoke " If you want we can stay here since we don't have school tomorrow.. I'll take the couch and you can have the bedroom." ' ok. I just need to call my aunt and uncle to let them know I'm not coming home." Mavis called her aunt and told her she was spending the night at my place ( though not saying it was my apartment.) After that we stayed up talking and watching movies, most of the time Mavis stayed cuddled up in my arms while she held me too. " You're smiling alot." She said I looked down at her and just said 4 small words that made her light up " it's because of you." She turned red and how her face in my chest. It wasn't to long after that we fell asleep in each other's arms.  Right now... I could honestly say I'm the happiest man alive.
