Chapter 8 Dinner

My room was first so after receiving directions to Ali’s room I quickly darted into mine. I walked in a got into some skinny jeans and a tank top. I grabbed my phone off of the dressing table. I couldn’t believe I was making friends with the princess. I couldn’t believe I was making friends at all.

The past hour began repeating through my mind. The moment when the number 1 was shouted out. I remember watching as those that didn’t know me looked at me in wonder. I then remember watching the girls in my pack as their faces turned shocked and angry. I saw the looks as if they had been deceived shoot through their eyes. I couldn’t have cared less.

I remember seeing Jade shift and dive at me. Her teeth inches from my face. The feeling as I shifted freely. The feeling and force as I smashed her into the wall. I was finally able to be myself.

I went over to my wardrobe. I pulled out the dress bag that contained my dinner gown. I looked to the bottom of the wardrobe and pulled out some plain black gorgeous heels. I grabbed a simple silver bracelet and necklace. I then walked over and grabbed my make-up bag.

“Dress, shoes, jewellery and make-up,” I muttered to myself.

I quickly grabbed a spare pair of curlers. I left my room then with all of my things in hand. I followed the directions I was told. I moved down various corridors. People passed me slightly wide eyed before hurrying past. I was nearly at Aliana’s room when a door opened and Jade’s minion came out. I can’t even remember her name. She scowled at me.

“Who do you think you are? Who do you think you are lying to the pack for the past four years? You are untrustworthy you stupid bi-“ She shouted.

“Who do you think you are questioning me? For your information the Alpha was with me when I shifted for the first time. So get your facts right before you gob off at me and use precious brain cells. Now excuse me,” I spat.

I stepped around her leaving her gobsmacked. I chuckled. I had never stood up for myself before as I purely kept myself under the radar. I kept walking down the corridor until I found the door which read “Her Royal Highness Princess Aliana.” I knocked before walking in.

Sophie was already there sat on the edge of the bed. Her hair was dripping wet and she was wrapped in a robe. Aliana was currently blow drying her hair at her dressing table. I looked at the room. It was huge it even led out onto this huge balcony which looked out upon the courtyard behind the mansion.

“Hey Ellie. Hang your stuff up and dump your make-up and hair stuff on the desk. Grab a robe and have a shower,” Aliana spoke.

“Yes ma’am,” I joked.

She scoffed and rolled her eyes while Sophie began laughing.
