Chapter 9 Prep for ball

                I woke up to some random song going off on my phone. God knows what the song was. I didn’t really pay attention. I checked the time. It was 10:36. Yep, I can’t remember my alarm song but I can remember the exact time I woke up. Not at all weird.

                I got up from my bed and walked into my bathroom. I quickly washed my face and brushed my teeth before brushing my hair so only the faint hint of curls were running through my hair. I walked from my bathroom then and walked into my closet where I had hung up all of my clothes. I pulled out pair of skinny jeans and a black vest top.

                Once I was ready and finished I walked down the stairs to the dining area where we had our dinner. I heard the lively chatter and talk as I entered the room. Just about every girl was in here having breakfast. I sat down at my dinner seat just like everyone else and Sophie and Ali were already there.

                “So Sleeping Beauty decides to arrive,” Ali teased.

                “Haha very funny. I’m not the girl with a tiara on my head,” I teased back sticking my tongue out like a child.

                “Touche,” Ali laughed.

                I looked down the table and at all the variety of food set out. There was different types of toast and spreads, there was bacon and eggs and cereals as well as lots of drinks. There was something for everyone. It reminded me of Hogwarts. I grabbed some toast which I smothered in strawberry jam before pouring myself some orange juice. I began to tuck into my breakfast.

                “Everyone looking forward to tonight?” Sophie asked.

                “Hell yeah. I have waited for this forever,” Ali spoke, taking a huge mouthful of her breakfast.

                She was not very Princess like. That was the way I like her though. She was normal. She was relatable. I wouldn’t have her any other way.

                “Hey guys, I know who all the guys are. The ones we could be with,” Sophie whispered so only we would hear.

                Ali and I leaned in towards her as she spoke. My heart rate picked up a bit. This would be amazing.

                “Obviously, there is your brother, Prince Oliver, then there is my brother Matt who will take over the Star Light Pack and then there is Mason, the Alpha to be of the Blue Moon pack,” Sophie whispered.

                Ali and I looked at each other. So I had narrowed my possible mates down to two.

                “So Ellie’s mate could be my brother Oliver or Matt, Sophie’s could be Mason or my brother and mine could be Matt or Mason,” Ali spoke.

                “Exactly,” Sophie replied.

                “How ironic there is a boy from each of our related groups, mine the Star Light Pack, Ellie’s the Blue Moon Pack and the Royals,” Sophie spoke.

                “Can you believe it though? By the end of the day we will have found our mates. That is just crazy,” Ali spoke.

                “I know. What we have all waited for all our life.” I smiled.
