After you tricked Sasuke in saying that this house was actually yours, you quickly went in without even knocking to make your act even more real. Shikamaru didn't even care- that's because he was sleeping, actually. It didn't matter, and now here you were with an awake Shikamaru."You're trying to stay away from him?" Shikamaru raised an eyebrow at you as you set your backpack down on the couch. He told you to make yourself at home, so why not? You sat down next to him before leaning back on the couch and nodded.
"Yes, Shikamaru." You replied and brought your hands up to your face in order to cover your face from him.
"You like him."
"Do not."
"You do."
"Do not."
"You do."
You finally stayed quiet after his response and let your arms fall down to your sides. "I don't know what to do Shikamaru."
"Well, I never really liked Sasuke to be honest, but the only advice I can give you is this."
"What-" You were interrupted by soft snores that belonged to Shikamaru, which made you get irritated. You picked up your backpack and walked out of his house.
A smile went up to Shikamaru's lips. "Works every time."
You slammed the door shut and stomped your way away from Shikamaru's house. "That lazy bastard!" You said annoyed out of your mind before kicking a rock that was in the middle of the sidewalk.
But little did you knew, there was a pair of eyes following your movements until you were finally gone from a distance.
"Tsk. Tsk."
T I M E S K I P // NEXT DAY
You were currently working at your part-time job, and guess what it was..the sweet shop! Yay! It was actually relaxing, and not only that, you got paid well! Ah, money is awesome.
Then suddenly you heard the bell ring again, signaling that another customer had come in. "Hello! Welcome to-.. Huh? Sasuke?!" You said with wide eyes not even expecting him to ever come here, to the sweet shop, you swore you heard him say that sweets weren't his thing.
"You work here..?" Sasuke asked before looking around the sweet shop. He had to admit, the smell of the place was actually quite satisfying.
"..No shit, Sherlock."
"Hn."
"Anyways, I thought sweets weren't your favorite, why are you here?" You asked with curiosity going around the counter and making your way out. "Did you came to get something for Karin?"
"Ah- no..I was supposed to get something for you."
"What-"
"Let me explain." Sasuke walked towards you and leaned back on the counter. "It was my mother again..I told her you wouldn't be able to tutor me anymore because of your part-time job, and since you didn't accept our offer last time, she told me to get sweets for you. I noticed that you really liked them from the look of your face when you saw them the other day."
"I see.." You muttered before looking up at him, and that's when you noticed how he had matured through the years. You've known him since your first year of middle school, and he had gotten even more good-looking, if that was even possible.
"I could still buy you some." He replied bluntly not wanting to loose his cool in front of you. "I wouldn't mind."
"You should just buy them when you want to, not when your mother tells you to. I can buy my own, you can leave now." You replied and went walking towards the counter again. "Well, Sayonara, Sasuke.
"Sayonara..(f/n)."
"By the way..Tomorrow's Saturday, we can hang out. If YOU even find me~!"
"Oh really?"
"Mhm."
"Okay..then it's settled, dipshit."
