47. Sasuke and Katsumi

"Sasuke-teme.. I-Is getting married to Ka-Katsumi.. what?! No way, (Y/N)-chan!" Naruto replied as he had the most puzzled expression on his face. He was literally freaking out, Sasuke was just twenty-one years old! What was he thinking?! Even Naruto himself didn't believe it.

"He sent me this invitation.." (Y/n) informed and put it up for the blonde to see. "I've been invited. I also called Sakura earlier today and she said she got one too." The female said. "Well.. isn't it at least nice of him to still think of us?" She sighed and let the invitation down on her desk.

"It's actually kind of wrong too 'ttebayo." The blonde replied and crossed his arms over his chest. His blue orbs looking at his best friend from the screen. "He cheated on you, dumped you, then years later, he decides to get married and he sends you a damn invitation? What the fuck is that 'ttebayo?"

"It's just him, don't you think? Maybe it's because he just wants to keep in contact, or maybe it's a way to say sorry-"

"A way to say sorry?"

"Right, that sounds stupid. Never mind." (Y/N) exhaled sharply and banged her head on her desk multiple times. "I don't even know what to do! I know I'm exaggerating but I don't ever want to see him ever again-"

"I'll be your date!" Naruto interrupted her as he leaned in closer to his computer screen. "I could take some time off my studies and go to Japan! How does that sound 'ttebayo?" He tilted his head to the side and smiled.

The (h/c)-haired girl's face immediately turned a crimson red the moment Naruto had suggested to be her date. But what about Sakura? She could probably bring Hinata along to get some company? Yeah, that would do!

"Y-Yeah..that'd be so appreciated, Naruto."

"Glad I could at least help, I'd be glad to see everybody else too 'ttebayo." Naruto grinned and clasped his hands together as he leaned back in his chair. "I should probably get back to studying, the faster I'm done, the sooner I'll get there."

"Right.. Well, good bye Naruto."

"Have a good day, (Y/n)-chan~!"

Next Morning

Sasuke's P.O.V

Honestly, what has my life come to? I'm getting married at the age of twenty-one, and to make it even worse, I'm not even sure if I'm going to be happy with Katsumi, the woman I'll soon marry. I know it's not right, and I don't really get what I'm doing this.. I just know I'm going to make the greatest mistake of my life.

Yet, I'm not even stopping myself.

"Uncle Sasuke!"

I whipped my head to the side hearing my name being called out, no other than my brother's son, Shisui. "What's up little guy?" I asked while ruffling his hair gently. Shisui's onyx eyes gleamed with excitement as he pointed up and said,

"The sky!"

I rolled my eyes playfully before sighing through my nostrils, this kid was so free-spirited, he reminded me of his mother and a dumb blonde I used to know. "What I meant is.. what are you up to?"

"Oh yeah.. Uncle Sasuke, I don't think you like your girlfriend." Shisui muttered but it was loud enough for me to hear, this of course, caught Katsumi's attention. She walked towards Shisui and placed her hands on her hips.

"What did he say, Sasuke?"

"He said he loves popsicles-"

"I said Uncle Sasuke doesn't love you." Shisui said biting his thumb gently, looking up at the brunette, the small boy could tell she was indeed mad. He giggled and stuck out his tongue out before running away to where her mother was.

I rubbed my temples with both of my fingers and tried to avoid Katsumi's gaze since I knew Shisui was saying facts. "Don't listen to the kid, he's just six for god's sake."

Katsumi huffed and rolled her eyes. "I don't get it, I don't even feel welcomed here. You should really talk to your family, I'm going to be your wife soon!" She reminded me for like the 100th time that day.

"I know, Katsumi. Calm down, will you?" I closed my eyes for a second before shaking my head gently. "I will talk to them just have patience." I assured and passed a hand through my hair. "Don't worry about it."

"Right." Katsumi said with a hint of annoyance in her voice before walking away to our room that we shared. I was really hoping that things would work out between us. Then again. I've been getting bad vibes.

Why am I not stopping myself?

After a few seconds that had passed by, I immediately heard somebody laughing behind me. I looked to my side and saw my older brother laughing for no reason. I narrowed my onyx eyes at him and crossed my arms over my chest. Then it had hit me, he was laughing for a reason. "You told him to say that, didn't you?"

"It was Izumi, she's not wrong."

"You damn prick. What are you?"

"Your older brother that married someone they actually loved-"

"Get out!"

I pushed him out of my room and closed the door rather harshly. I was sort of pissed, Itachi didn't act like this most of the time. He would usually be calm about it, but he still seems very serious about it though.

But for now, I should act like an adult and fix everything to avoid any problems with my family and Katsumi. I inhaled then exhaled, and said, "Lord, please give me the strength to go through all of this.."

It's what I want to do.
