40. Kushina's problem

THIRD PERSON'S P.O.V

"Yup, he got a hair-cut."

"N-Naruto-kun..?"

"Naruto?!"

Naruto scratched the back of his head and chuckled nervously. "That's me..It's been a very long time 'ttebayo- Ow! Sakura-chan! That hurt!" He whined and rubbed his head as the pinkette's eye twitched in anger.

"It has been a very long time! Do you realize how much we, WE missed you, idiot?" Sakura kept on scolding him as the shy girl, Hinata, kept fidgeting with her fingers not being able to speak because of her lack of confidence. Sakura sighed and took off her jacket, then let down all the food she had brought with Hinata.

"Y-Yes..I've taken a realize of that, Sakura-chan 'ttebayo." Naruto replied and looked at all the food. Dang, he was sure getting stuffed tonight. Do you know how much he loves food? A whole lot, very much.

"Tsk. Tsk." (F/n) said while walking pass her blonde friend. Naruto couldn't help but blush since he was so embarrassed. "I should've warned you." She chuckled and started to help Sakura in the kitchen, alongside with Temari.

Naruto followed (F/n)'s figure until she was completely gone from his sight. He let out a small sigh ans looked down, but ended up looking at the shy girl in front of him. "Oh..Hello, Hinata."

"T-This is for you, Na-Naruto-kun!" Hinata quickly said before shoving the box of chocolates in the blonde's hands. "I made them myself.." She mumbled and averted her eyes to the side.

"Oh..thanks 'ttebayo. You shouldn't have." Naruto replied and forced a smile to show that he was grateful for the gift he just received. "I bet they're really good..!" He added as Hinata looked up at the boy she dearly loved. She immediately noticed that his smile was completely fake, an action that broke her fragile heart.

"Thank you for giving me your time, Naruto-kun. I'll take my leave now.." Hinata managed to say without stuttering and ran inside the kitchen with a small frown showing on her face. She was relieved she could at least give the box of chocolates to the person she likes, but she knew it wasn't her he loved.

It was (f/n) instead.

Meanwhile with Naruto, the blonde was currently looking at the box of chocolates he was given. He took off the wrapper and opened the small box. "..How nice of her 'ttebayo." His blue eyes kept looking at the perfect shaped chocolate in front of him. "But it's not from the person I want it from.." The blonde placed a hand over his heart and let out a small sniffle.

"What're you doing?"

Naruto gasped as he heard the voice of the person he was not getting along with at the moment. He almost dropped the box of chocolates because of his sudden appearance, but he luckily managed to save them. "What do you want 'ttebayo.." He muttered.

"Who gave you that?" Sasuke asked being the nosy person he is. "Was it (f/n)-?"

"It was her." Naruto lied wanting to see his reaction. "You should understand that (F/n)-chan and I are just friends." He said and rolled his eyes in annoyance. He just couldn't stand it either, being "friends" with (f/n). He wanted to be more than that to her.

But who knows what the future awaits?

"Liar. I saw Hinata give that to you just a few minutes ago." Sasuke replied with that blunt voice of his. "Why would you lie? Were you trying to get me jealous or what?" He asked with a small smirk across his lips.

"But I already have." The blonde answered as he chuckled. "On the way here I was holding her hand, keeping her warm as if she was my girlfriend. When we got here I could clearly see the jealousy in your eyes 'ttebayo." He teased.

Sasuke's smirk quickly faded away hearing this from Naruto. He narrowed his eyes and clenched his fists. "You're NOTHING to her, why can't you understand that too?"

"I've known her longer- I've been there for her than anyone else 'ttebayo."

"But in the end your efforts didn't work. Who did she fell in love with? Not you. She fell for me instead." Sasuke said as he walked passed Naruto and bumped his shoulder against his on purpose. The raven-haired boy was jealous, what if (f/n) ended up falling for Naruto? He was worried.

Naruto took a few steps back as he looked straight down at the floor. Sasuke was right, well, that's what he thought. He couldn't understand why the person he loved couldn't love him back. First Sakura then (F/n). Why must he suffer so much?

Sasuke took one last glance at Naruto before taking his leave. He had been sent to buy ingredients for a special cake Sakura had planned to do. Along with everybody else of course. He grabbed his jacket and put it on, then put a blue scarf around his neck. He sighed and closed the door behind him.

Naruto heard the door shut and he averted his eyes to the side. "..I still have hope..don't I?" He muttered to himself and grinned. "I shouldn't give up..I'm going to keep trying!"

I won't give up.

IZUMI'S P.O.V

"Let's see.." I looked up and down through the types of chips there was in the aisle. I furrowed my eyebrows trying to remember (f/n)'s and Naruto's favorite chips. As her mother, I had to remember all this stuff for my daughter. "What was it.." I thought to myself then a smile came up to my lips. "Honey Buddha Chips! Those are it!"

I sighed in satisfaction and smirked. "I'm such a good mother." I complimented myself and kept looking for the snacks (f/n) had sent me to buy as a favor. I kept looking until a ringtone had interrupted my thoughts, then I realized the sound was coming from my phone. I quickly reached for my phone and looked down at the ID.

Kushina? I thought once again and answered the call. "Hey-"

"Izumi! WE NEED TO TALK 'TTEBANE!" Kushina literally yelled from the other side of the line. "I-I..Have you heard that Sasuke and (F/n) are officially dating now?"

"Yes, I do know, Kushina. Why?" I asked with tint of curiosity above my voice. "Don't tell me you didn't-"

"I didn't knew 'ttebane!" Kushina replied and she sounded quite disappointed about the news. I was very confused about this, but then it hit me..maybe she didn't want Sasuke with (F/n)? Was that a problem for her?

"Is there something wrong Kushina?"

"No..there's nothing wrong. I'm sorry for calling you, you must be really busy 'ttebane." Kushina's voice seemed a lot calmer now, which surprised me but I just shrugged it off.

"No, it's okay, Kushina. Are you sure you don't want to inform me of anything?" I asked.

"No..everything is fine 'ttebane. Goodbye Izumi." She replied and clicked, not giving me a chance to say goodbye to her. I didn't feel good about this. Was something wrong? Does she not trust me anymore? I hope she tells me soon.

What is the problem that is bothering her?
