Tyler's POV

Mark and I were roommates, yet it was very rare for us to have time for ourselves. He had graphic gigs almost everyday, while I went to work at the local music store. I was thankful Mark was there when Jenna called, otherwise I may have freaked out, probably causing more controversy than needed. He drove us home, not questioning who the random girl was sleeping in my lap. He hadn't even met her, only knew her name, but he still was very clueless. Once we arrived home, I picked Jenna up bridal style, quietly walking up the stairs to place in my bed. Her skin was still chilled, her lips chapped from the cold wind.

As I placed her frail body on my mattress, her eyes fluttered open, the color of ice blue shining back at me.

"Hey" I whispered, pulling the blanket over her. Jenna's lips pursed into a small smile, the reassurance comforting her somehow.

"Where am I?" she croaked, sinking into the sheets with ease.

"My house, don't worry, you're safe" I said, sitting on the edge of the mattress, my hand rested on her side. She closed her eyes once again, the bags under her eyes indicating she was exhausted.

"I have work tomorrow" she mumbled, her eyebrows furrowing at the thought.

"You can call in sick, You're freezing Jen, just focus on resting"

"I like that" she smiled, pulling the blanket further to cover her mouth.

"What?" I asked confused

"You calling me Jen" she chuckled, her eyes still closed peacefully.

"That's one thing you like me doing" I laughed under my breath. "You're exhausted, I'll let you sleep" I got my body up to reach the door, the moonlight just lighting up the room nicely.

"Wait" Jenna said, her eyes open once again, this time, struggling to keep open. "play me something" she pointed to the keyboard on a stand against the wall, my eyes looking over, the silence filling the room with ease.

"Maybe another time" I suggested hesitantly

"Please" she persuaded, her piercing eyes shining in the distance

I stood there for a moment, my nerves jumping through my body.

"okay" I breathed out a breath I didn't know I was holding, wandering over to sit at the keyboard. I turned it on, watching as the buttons lit up in front of me. My hands were shaking, my fingers touching the cold keys as I began to play.

I was scared of dentists and the dark

I was scared of pretty girls and starting conversations

My voice cracked as soon as I begun singing, making Jenna giggle slightly.

Oh, all my friends are turning green

You're the magician's assistant in their dream

I closed my eyes, trying to focus on not messing up in front of her, my fingers trembling, yet still capable to play the chords

Oh, oh, and they come unstuck

I stopped and swung my body around to look at the girl sleeping in the bundle of sheets. Her breath was peacefully uneven, her eyelashes falling on her cheeks as her eyelids closed so perfectly. She was gorgeous, like an angel fallen down. I stood up to walk closer, crouching down to meet her level. She was definitely asleep, her mouth agape ever so slightly. I don't know what came over me, but I planted a peck on her forehead, stroking her hair behind her ear.

"Good night Bella" I whispered, getting up to close the door behind me. I stood outside the door for a moment, taking a deep breath before resorting to the couch.

Jenna's POV

sleep overcame me with ease, but I still felt the small kiss Tyler placed on my forehead. The small act gave me butterflies, as soon as the door closed I couldn't help but smile. It felt like tonight I had let my entire guard down, just accepting the feelings that came through, as if I was a different person. That wasn't like me at all, I was usually very stubborn and pushed people away, but I guess tonight I was too tired to even try. As I floated into slumber I realized where I was sleeping. I could tell immediately that I was in Tyler's bed as I smelt the sheets, the scent of his cologne lingering in the fabric. I was too exhausted to protest that I would sleep on the couch, and deep down, I would take all the blankets in the world right now. I was as cold as I had ever been, my skin still so chilled to touch. I couldn't help but feel a bit lonely in this room, wanting to go back to lying on Tyler's chest as I rested. His warmth was something so comforting, nothing else could compare to it. But I was lying in his bed alone, multiple blankets topped over me as I fell into a deep sleep.

I woke up that morning to a soft knock on the door, Tyler's head peeping through slowly. I smiled, watching as he came in with a tray of food, a well presented breakfast being placed in front of me. Bacon and scrambled eggs sat on the plate, a cup of fresh orange juice paired with it.

"You didn't have to do this" I shook my head, sitting up in the bed.

"I wanted to" he answered, "are you feeling any better?"

"I think I've got a bit of a cold now, but I'm fine. Thankyou" I nodded, my voice sounding stuffy from my blocked nose. I bit into the crispy bacon, it cooked perfectly.

"You still need to call work and say your not coming in" he reminded, "I'm still going to work but I'll be back in the afternoon to take you home, today you relax. No one will be home, but if you do hear someone come in, it'll be Mark. He knows you'll be here so don't worry. There's food in the kitchen and you're welcome to do whatever you want here"

"Tyler I.... thankyou" I choked up, "you've been so nice to me"

"Always for you bella" he smiled, his slightly crooked teeth shining in the light.
