Jenna's POV

I had convinced myself that tonight was the night I was going to fully come out of my shell for the church, opening up like I did for the handful of people I held close to me. Tatum stood by my side at the back of the small stage we all spoke upon, watching the timer on the screen come up as the doors opened, revealing the mob of kids I had quickly gotten used to. It was so strange to actually drive Tyler's car to the church instead of him taking me, I hadn't driven in years, yet it finally dawned on me that he had left his car behind one day I was getting ready for work. I felt like I didn't belong in the drivers seat, the pattern of his existence being changed suddenly. I was now counted as one of the leaders, not just the girl that Tyler brought a long, and it was pretty nice.

I was by far the most nervous one in the room, and probably the most tired, Tatum rubbing my back and whispering encouraging words to me before going on. She definitely made me smile, she was like the best friend I dreamed of having in high school. As the numbers counted down to zero, Tatum jumped out enthusiastically, myself going along after her as the crowd welcomed us with many cheers. I couldn't help but hang my mouth open, seeing all these kids look up at me the way they were was simply amazing.

"Hello everybody! My name is Tatum and I am joined by my best friend, Jenna!" She announced, dramatically revealing me with her arm like I was a part of a magic show. That was the first time she actually titled me as her best friend, and all I could feel was my stomach flipping in excitement. I didn't contain the smile that was pushing through, my hand waving at everyone who was looking back at me.

"Hi! I'm Jenna and Tyler brought me here a few months ago after I moved to Ohio, I hope you guys don't mind we're taking the boys places while they're off on tour?" I spoke, the mic leaning against my chin comfortably as I heard my voice echo strangely through the speakers.

"Isn't Tyler your boyfriend?" A voice called out from the darkness in the back, myself nervously giggling as I tried to find the source

"Ha... Yeah, He is" I breathed out, my smile never leaving my face. Whenever I heard any sort of aspect of Tyler and I being together, it only caused me to blush uncontrollably and let the butterflies in my stomach take over.

Tatum cut the slight awkwardness we held with starting to explain the game we were going to play before the worship band came out. Unfortunately, Most band sets were going to be acoustic, mostly due to Josh not being there to destroy the drums. I didn't exactly want the songs to be calming, as I already felt like I could fall asleep at any moment. I was still getting more exhausted day by day, so much that it has started to become a concern. Every afternoon after work, I wold nap for a few hours, only getting up to eat and get ready before going to bed again. I slept so much, only for me to be more tired than I was the day before.

"Okay, so Jenna, do you want to pick some kids out from the crowd?" Tatum said, my head nodding as I began walking down the small steps. I gazed around the chairs until I found a small girl that caught my eye, her hand raised so far up, it'd probably fall off if it could.

As I began to walk over to her row, I felt a sharp pain hit in my abdomen, my hand automatically clenching onto my shirt. Tatum noticed that I had stopped in my tracks, knowing something was wrong, she ran down to meet me. The pain hit again, and again, and again, as if something was stabbing into me from inside, I couldn't help but drop the microphone as my body tried to curl up in itself. I had never felt something like that, the feeling literally worse than any sort of period cramps I had experienced.

"Jenna! What's going on? Can we get someone else down here please!" Tatum called out, her arms wrapping around me as my knees hit the floor. The fatigue my body held didn't help in any way, my eyes dropping as my body gave up consciousness. All I remember after that was the screams of the ministry, Tatum's voice, and someone struggling to lift me up
