"This is where your dad would have stayed- if he had been Greek," says Lyla, motioning at a cabin. The Ares cabin. "And this is the- oh!" Lyla freezes, and then blushes, staring at something behind me. I turn around, and feel myself blushing as well.
Zoë and Andrew are standing next to the Poseidon cabin, kissing.
"ANDREW YOU LITTLE-" screeches Rose, running over with Asher, looking disgusted.
Andrew pulls away, looking extremely humiliated.
"That's my friend, you piece of crap!" yells Rose. Asher seems to be trying to calm her down, but she's on fire- literally.
"Um, and this is the Hades cabin, where your mom would have stayed," says Lyla awkwardly, pulling me away from the couple.
"Cool!" I say. Lyla smiles. I missed her so much.
"Have you heard about that new prophecy?" asks Lyla. I shake my head. "Apparently a Macedonicus delivered a new prophecy a few days ago. I don't know what it says, but it sounds cool! It's supposed to be the next Great Prophecy," Lyla explains.
My eyes widen. "We should go ask her about it!" I exclaim. Lyla's eyes light up, and she nods. Together, we rush off towards the group of adults.
"H-hi! We were wondering about the next great prophecy," wheezes Lyla, tired from the run.
All of the adults turn sharply to Rachel and Octavian.
"A new prophecy? And a Great Prophecy?" demands Percy.
Rachel nods. "It came a few days ago. Octavian and I were walking the dog with Cyprian- we got a golden retriever a few weeks ago and he's GORGEOUS-"
"To the point, Rach," says Annabeth, exasperated.
"Right. We were walking the dog when Cyprian suddenly froze up, and collapsed." Octavian grips Rachel's hand as she tells this part, face looking like he was re-experiencing it. "Then, he told the prophecy. We should have known, Octavian being a legacy of Apollo and me being the Oracle of Delphi, that our son would get some of our powers-"
"But it was worth it," interrupts Octavian. Rachel smiles up at him.
Jason clears his throat. "Rachel, Scumbag, the Prophecy?" he asks politely.
Octavian frowns.
"Seven half bloods shall answer again, descendants from heroes way back when; to save the camps from the sky born curse, or all shall perish, and be reversed," says Rachel.
Everyone is silent.
Then, Percy breaks the tense quiet. "Oh joy. We have to do this again. Seven half bloods shall answer again? Let's just round up the gang and take out this gods forsaken curse thing," he grumbles.
"Descendants from heroes way back when. I think that means our children!" exclaims Hazel.
Percy falls silent.
"No. We are not sending our children on a quest," interrupts Piper.
"All shall perish. Doesn't sound like much of a choice, does it?" asks Jason.
"Who would even go?" asks Annabeth. They all look at her and Percy. Her shoulders sag. "I know, I was hoping," she sighs.
"So Zoë definitely, and Reyna also, Rose most likely, and Mari. That's four. Maybe Bi-" says Leo.
"No," interrupts both Will and Nico. "I wasn't in the Seven last time, I don't see why Bianca should go," says Nico firmly.
"Well Cyprian isn't going. He only has the tiniest bit of Half Blood in him," says Octavian.
"But Dad! I want to go!" whined Cyprian, walking over.
"Absolutely not," says Rachel.
"Dad, I want to go," says Bianca.
Will and Nico stare at her in horror. "Bianca- no. This is dangerous. You could DIE. You're not going," says Will.
"Will-" starts Calypso.
"NO. She is not dying," seethes Will.
"None of them are dying," yells Piper, furiously.
"We aren't taking any chances," Nico shoots back, glaring.
"I want to go!" exclaims Bianca.
"No!" yells Will, frustrated.
"Fine," snarls Bianca, stalking off.
"So Zoë, Mari, Rose, Reyna-" starts Frank.
"and Asher!" exclaims Asher.
Katie sighs, but Travis looks excited. "Let him! We never got to do anything when we were kids," he says.
"Fine," Katie says, laughing.
"Zoë, Mari, Rose, Reyna, Asher- who else?" asks Annabeth.
"Ooh, me!" exclaims James.
Lou Ellen pursed her lips. "Alright, James," she says hesitantly.
"That's six. One more," says Percy, sending Will and Nico a meaningful stare. Nico glares furiously back.
"Over my dead body, Jackson," snarls Nico.
"Andrew could go," volunteers Calypso.
"ABSOLUTELY NOT," shrieks Rose. "I do NOT want to turn each corner to see him and Zoë making out."
Zoë and Andrew both turn red. I can't help but laugh.
"I'll go!" insists Cyprian, looking frustrated.
"No, Cyprian," says Rachel. Her son glares at her, and then stalks off in the direction Bianca went; the Hades cabin.
"And don't touch our daughter!" yells Will.
"Clarisse! Chris!" exclaims Rachel suddenly. The group is quickly joined by two adults and two children.
"Hey, Rachel!" says the woman, who must be Clarisse.
"Hi, Rachel!" exclaims the younger child, who looks like a female version of the man, who must be Chris.
"Silena!" squeals Rachel, hugging the girl.
"What'cha talking about?" asks a voice in my ear. I turn around, baffled, and see a boy my age grinning at me. Beside me, Lyla frowns. The boy looks like a male version of Clarisse. He must be their older kid.
"The Great Prophecy thing," I say with a shrug.
"Cool," he says. "I'm Adrien Rodriguez. And you are?"
"Mari Zhang, pleasure," I say, turning away.
"Adrien could go on the quest," suggests Rachel.
Clarisse looks at Chris. He shrugs. "Sure. Why not?"
"It's settled," Hazel says.
It's settled.
