The queen has fallen

Darlene's p.o.v:

In less then 25 minutes the whole town was informed of my mum being sick.Everyone was scared and sad,but no one as sad and tearful as me.I cried my eyes out all night.I had begged the countess to let me see my mum,but she just told me not until supper time.So I cried until the bell had rung for supper,I wore my pink birthday dress and cleaned up my face so no one would notice I had been crying.I ran down the stair case into my mothers room to see her laying on the bed.Everyone had told me about how my mother was to die today but I could not believe it.I ran to her side and grabbed her hand in mine."hi baby" she said to me in a weak tone making me wince,but I held back my tears as I replied in a whisper "Hello mummy,I love you so much ya know" and she smiled and so did I.She was so pale and looked distressed and I wanted to die instead of her.I couldn't get anything out of my mom,for I was scared I would say the wrong thing.She knew that so she smiled at me and I returned the favor with tears spilling over my eyes and dripping onto my cheeks.She smiled and it never fell off her face as she saw me crying and she took the hand I was holding and rubbed the tears off my cheek as I nuzzled into her finger and closed my eyes so I could enjoy her soft touch while it lasted.

She reminded me that it was time for supper so I let her wrap her arms around me and I led her to the kitchen,where me and the countess sat and watched her slowly eat.She looked at me as I sat across from her and smiled before muttering "You are my daughter and it's my job to take care of you,so don't worry about taking care of me,my love".I came around the table and sat at her feet while holding her hand. I remembered about how I had to get married to Tristan and I just couldn't stop myself from wanting to cry,tempering how she was on her wedding day and how she wouldn't be here for mine."But I want to take care of you mummy" I replied with worry and concern lacing my voice.

She looked even more pale as she talked and I knew soon would be her time,making me cover my face while tears shed through.She grabbed my arm and asked me to come stay with her upstairs for a while.We walked up the stairs and she laid in bed.If these where to be her last moments I needed to do something memorable,so I asked what her favorite dress on me was and she replied with happiness in her voice "the one you wore to my wedding it was absolutely beautiful on you" and I went to go change.I looked in the mirror to make sure I looked good enough,Lucien used to do little things like this with me an he'd tell me how stunning I looked in everything.Which made me even more sad as I realized how I neglected him for 2 years and I just shook it off and went to my mum.I retook my position as before and sat and stared at her with a smile on my face as she let her hair done.She was utterly stunning and I loved her so much.She interrupted the silence with a coughing fit causing me to get panicky and shuffle nervously.She regained her composure and looked at me with a tearful glint and said "baby,I love you a lot and I want you to know that your gonna be okay,that you should talk to Lucien and be the bright little girl you are,always and forever" that immediately reminded me of Lucien and I cried and cried and tears wouldn't stop spilling and I felt like a mess and I couldn't or Wouldn't stop crying and my mother started to shut her eyes and I shook her softly and she opened her eyes and said "Darlene,you are full of potential and kindness that you will never find in others,hold on to that,be a good girl and do what you know is right,I have no doubts that you will be a perfect queen,be strong,my darling,be strong" I leaned over her head knowing she would not be breathing soon,and said

She looked at me,smiled and said,"my princess,I would never leave you,I will always be here for you,even if you don't know or see it" and she closed her eyes and I didn't scream or shout or fight against her I just simply let her soul leave in peace.I realized what had happened and cried and cried and I don't stop and then I put my hand over her head to feel if warmth was radiating off her skin anymore and it wasn't.

I screamed at her to wake up and she didn't so guards once more rushed to my side and pulled me from my mothers side.As tears made my vision blurry,the last thing I saw as I left my mummy's room was Knights and servants and all kinds of maids at her side.As I was pulled out of the room,I stopped fighting and continued to cry as I sat outside the closed door of my mothers room which was guarded by nights.People tried to get me to move,but I was to stubborn,until someone grabbed my shoulder,a person I thought I'd never see again,Lucien castle.He took me to my room holding my slim figure in his arms and then he put me down as we laid under covers and he pulled them over move as he laid next to me as we huddled together.I closed my eyes and let darkness consume as I had one thing in mind the queen has fallen.

I'm thinking that after the next chapter,I'll be doing a big time skip so I can bring in a little surprise that is sure to make this story interesting.I think I'll update tomorrow or next weekend,until then.(sorry this was so long)I hope you EnJoYeD!Luv u-Aaliyah mikaelson
