Mays POV

"Oh," I said dumbly after Lachlan told me what happened. "We need to find a hospital soon." If the knife had hit a major blood vessel he was gonna bleed out if his leg didn't get patched up soon. I craned my head and saw a large patch of blood on his upper right thigh where the guy stabbed him.

"I think we lost them a while back; I'll fly down and see if we can find one just in case." Lachlan started to descend. When we got below the clouds, I saw that we were above London, it's familiar buildings zipping past. I pointed down at the nearest hospital and we landed a street away where no one would see us. Lachlan relied heavily on my shoulder to limp along to the hospital's main door. When we walked in, the lobby was relatively empty, thank goodness. We trudged up to the front desk and I told the nurse that we were walking along down a side street when a guy came up with a knife and randomly stabbed Lachlan in the thigh and everything happened so fast I couldn't see who attacked him. I gave the nurse our names and she called for a doctor. They then rolled out a gurney and sat him down on it and took him away. I fell into a chair, put in my earbuds, and hit play. The first song was "Set Fire To The Rain" by Adele. I closed my eyes and just listened to the music.

I let it fall, my heart,

And as it fell you rose to claim it

It was dark and I was over

Until you kissed my lips and you saved me

My hands, they're strong

By my knees were far too weak

To stand in your arms

Without falling to your feet

But there's a side to you

That I never knew, never knew

All the things you'd say

They were never true, never true

And the games you play

You would always win, always win

But I set fire to the rain

Watched it pour as I touched your face

Well it burned while I cried

'Cause I heard it screaming out your name,

Your name

When I lay with you

I could stay there

Close my eyes

Feel you here, forever

You and me together

Nothing gets better

Cause there's a side to you

That I never knew, never knew

All the things you'd say

They were never true, never true

And the games you play

You would always win, always win

But I set fire to the rain

Watched it pour as I touched your face

Well it burned while I cried

'Cause I heard it screaming out your name,

Your name

I set fire to the rain

And I threw us into the flames

When it fell, something died
