Henri's fallen head-over-heels for Milana Hale, and it's really annoying.

He won't stop talking about their make-out session at the party, and honestly, I'm not a fan of all these details. I stopped replying to his text messages about her a while ago, but he continues spamming me himself.

I can't relate to him, first of all, because the concept of "falling in love" is so ridiculous to me. What does that even mean? Do you just look at the person and know "That's the one," or do you have to know someone for a long time and then decide that they're the one you want to have a family with (because that sounds really creepy to me)? Every time someone at school says they've "fallen in love," I call bullshit. No one actually knows what that means.

My phone buzzes again, and I irritably glance at the message from Henri, expecting it to be another "But seriously she's so hot" about Milana or something. But instead, he wrote "Going to the park with the others for a game of football. You down?"

Too lazy.

I send the message and then stare at the ceiling with my back resting on my bed. I can't stop thinking about the conversation I had with Anna yesterday. I immediately hated myself when I got home and realized that I had literally done nothing at the party but stay with her. That's not something Rowan Hawthorne would do.

But then again, she was stupid enough to show up there, and I wasn't going to put her in danger.

I have an obligation to keep her safe.

I continue staring at the ceiling for a good fifteen minutes until my phone breaks the silence of my room by buzzing again. It's yet another message from Henri.

Dude. Silver's little sister is here. Wtf.

Valentine being at the park sure does sound "wtf"-worthy to me.

Ignore her, is all I respond.

Dude. We could totally mess with her. She'd have no idea.

No idea? Valentine Silver would beat their asses to the curb. I smirk at the message for a second before my head starts to process his words. Wait a minute. Valentine is not Kai's only sister.

Which sister? I ask hastily.

I can almost hear Henri's disbelief through the text message. What do you mean? You think Valentine Silver would go to the park?

Shit. I let out a sigh and hop off my bed. Henri Chevalier is the type of asshole who would totally be willing to mess with Anna. I roll out of my bed and reluctantly grab my keys. I need to keep count of how many times she owes me.

I head to the park with a hood over my head and sunglasses over my eyes. It would be troublesome if Henri caught me there. I know I'm supposed to be "friends" with him, but the guy is a total moron. I'm not going to risk running into him.
