I don't think any of the guys were happy to hear that we'd rented two rooms for six people, separated by gender. Though the girls were squealing in excitement with one another, I could already feel the tension building between Kai and me. I was going to share a room with him. I was going to share a room with the person who has an immeasurable hatred for me. I curse life for being so unfair.

We move all of our belongings into our room. I can hear the girls' animated commotion coming from their room across from us, while Benji, Kai, and I remain silent as we unpack.

"So, I just agreed to come here without knowing what we're actually doing," Benji says slowly. "Tell me we're visiting the clubs tonight."

"You can do whatever you want," Kai responds simply.

Whatever I want, huh? I'm sure he doesn't actually mean that. I just smirk to myself before being distracted by the door to the room suddenly being swung open and Valentine stepping inside.

"Whoa!" Benji yelps. "Knock, please. Guys need privacy, too."

She rolls her eyes dismissively. "Whatever. I'm going to go check out that mall down the block; so that's where I'll be."

"Alone?" Kai asks her.

Valentine opens her mouth to reply, but Benji quickly steps in, dropping everything onto his bed. "I'll come with you," he says. "I've been downtown before, so I know exactly where the best places are."

Valentine glances skeptically at him. "You do?" She bites her lip hesitantly, before motioning with her hand for him to follow her. "You'd better not be lying to me." Her eyes flit over to me. "What about you, Hawthorne? You down to follow or what?"

"Pass."

"I probably should have seen that coming," Valentine grumbles, before tossing us a farewell gesture with her fingers. "See you in a bit, then."

Great. Now, Silver and I are in this room by ourselves. I jump onto my bed and start scrolling through my phone to avoid conversation.

"You're not going out tonight, are you?" Kai's voice suddenly asks me.

I raise an eyebrow at him, partly surprised at his question and partly surprised that he decided to speak to me at all. "Does it matter?" I snort, running a finger across my home screen. It looks so much livelier with Anna's picture as the background.

"I thought you had bad memories with this place."

Silver remembers that story? I can't help but smirk at the memory. "I was fifteen," I remind him.

"Yeah, and you said you tried to seduce a senior."

I shrug, mildly impressed with my younger self. "She was feeling it, too, but she just so happened to have been eighteen already."
