Anna looks up at me unblinkingly, clearly taken aback by my sudden action. She doesn't look extremely stunned or reactive – just ... as though her mind has gone blank. It's this kind of charm that draws me to her again.

"Do you know how long I've been waiting?" I continue, pretending to be annoyed. "I didn't even know I had that kind of willpower in me."

She continues staring at me silently. Say something, would you?

"Anyway," I ramble on, "I'm sorry, but I couldn't hang onto it any longer. I mean, I didn't know if –"

Anna lifts herself onto her tiptoes and presses her lips against mine. At first, I just gape at her face in front of mine. But it doesn't take long for me to close my eyes and savor the moment.

I hear Anna drop her backpack on the ground before finally pulling away from me, taking in a deep breath. After what seems like an eternity of us just staring at one another, Anna just lets out a small laugh and says, "You should see your face right now."

Of course. I've never felt like this about another human being before. "Thanks," I tease. I tuck her hair behind her ear and smile at her. "This happens to add even more to my perfection factor, right?"

She rolls her eyes. "I thought you didn't want to be perfect."

"As close as I can, though."

She glances around the library. "You know, our first real encounter was here. Did you plan on doing this all along?"

Honestly, I didn't, but I just shrug mysteriously. "You'll never know."

Anna raises an eyebrow at me. "What's next? Are you going to hold my hand or something?"

"How did you know?" I swing her backpack over my shoulder before picking up her hand. "Let's get out of here. There are too many eyes around for my taste."

"Fair." Anna blinks at me as we head out of the library. "Your place?"

I walk outside and allow the soft breeze the caress our figures. It's a picture-perfect moment. The weather is nice, my future has been nicely paved out in front of me, and I have the girl I love in my hands.

I know I said that things that were too perfect are boring, but this ...

This is just perfect.

Aaaaaand
