Eric finally got off of him before walking to me and helping me off the floor.

"You alright", He asked.

"Yeah", I say as I tightly held my head.

"Come on", Eric says as he walked me through the stunned crowd and outside to his car.

"I'll take you home", He opened my door and sat me inside before closing my door and walking to the driver side and getting in.

He started the car and pulled off. "You sure you're alright?", He asked.

"Yeah", I say as I rested my head on the car window.

I continued. "Thank you... For helping me out, he only does that bullshit when he's drunk."

"No problem.. Where you live?", He asked.

"Just up the street", I say pointing to the direction of my house.

He parked in front of my house before turning his radio down some.

I looked up and saw my sisters light was still on and sighed.

"Can I wait in here for a minute?", I asked.

"Why?"

"Cause my sister still up and I don't feel like hearing her mouth", I answered.

He chuckled. "Yeah."

I laid back on the seat as I rubbed my head.

"So you from here?", I asked.

"Mhm, Compton", He answered.

"You ever think about getting outta here?"

He smirked. "Don't nobody make it up outta here."

"Why not?", I questioned.

"Look around this bitch; its set up for us not to."

"Yeah... But if you really want to you can."

He looked at me. "Maybe."

I laughed. "If you could what would you do?"

He took a minute and thought to himself.

"Music", He answered.

"Music?"

"Mhm", He replied.

"Go head and sang me something"

He laughed. "Nah nah nah, rapping"

"Ohh.. Okay... What would you rap about?", I asked.

"Shit... Everythang.. What I see here.. What I've been through."

"You can do it, well... I think so", I say looking at him.

He scratched his head. "I'm glad you see it.. Maybe one day I will to."

I looked up and saw my sisters light was off but kept talking to him.

"What do you wanna do?", He asked.

"Umm, I thought about college and helping kids you know.."

"I definitely think you could do that, you're smart", He says looking in my eyes.

"Nah.. That's my little brother DD; he has all the potential and dreams."

"Girl, you wanna do something with your life... And just from talking to you, I know you can.. It ain't too many smart mutha fuckas around here", He says laughing.

I laughed. "So what, your sister's in charge while your parents are away?", He asked.
