Olivia's POV

The school day ended and I stood by the entrance, waiting for Nick. This whole pretending we're a couple thing is kind of fun to be honest.

"Hello Princess Olivia. How are you this fine afternoon?" Someone asked. "I'm doing fine, but I'm not a princess anymore." I say as I turn around.

"I've never heard of Taaron." Michael said and I paled. "I don't know what you're talking about." I lie.

"Poor Princess Olivia. Did you know she went missing when she was five years old?" He said as he handed me a piece of paper.

Sure enough, a picture of five year old me was there along with the article of how I was fourth in line to the throne of Taaron was on it.

"How did you find out about this?" I ask. "I did some research. Princess Olivia Stevens." He says. "You don't understand Michael." I say. "I understand that you've lied to everyone. That you're lying to your daughter." He says.

"I haven't lied to Emily. Once she's old enough to understand, I planned on telling her that she was a princess. I didn't tell anyone to protect my brothers and sister. Otherwise people that I trust with my life would know." I say.

"But you still lied, saying that you're from San Francisco, California." He says. "That's not a lie. In my heart, I am Olivia from San Francisco. But my blood says that I'm Princess Olivia from Taaron. Which I'm not." I say.

"Please don't tell anyone in the world that I'm a princess." I say. "I don't know." He says. "Please Michael! If you care at all about me or even Emily, you won't tell anyone." I say, knowing it was a long shot.

"I can be persuaded to forget about this." He says. "What?" I ask warily. "I'll come forward as the father. We marry and go back to Taaron. Then I rule a kingdom. If you do that, no one here will ever find out about who you were." He says.

"As much as I love the idea of you admitting you're Emily's father, I will never go back to Taaron! I love how my life is now. Besides, I'm fourth in line! Not first. There wouldn't be any guarantee that you would be the king if I agreed to this." I say.

"So you'd rather people here know you're a princess?" He asked. "Of course not. But I won't marry you and I'm not going back to Taaron." I snap at him.

He was about to respond, but I saw a familiar person coming towards the school outside the window. "You contacted Taaron." I say, looking back at Michael.

"That's right." He said and I stomped on his foot before dashing out the door and hiding from the familiar man.

If he finds me, I'll be back in Taaron in two seconds flat.

When Nick came out and saw me, I waved him over. He came over and I pulled him down behind the bush.

"What's going on?" He asked me and I shushed him. "What's going on?" He repeated in a whisper.

"You wouldn't happen to know a way to get away from school without that man seeing us? Particularly me." I whisper, pointing at the man.

"Who is that?" Nick whispered. "I'll explain when I'm positive that he won't see me. So can you?" I say.

"I think so. We'll just have to hide your face." He says. I nod and he takes off his jacket, quickly putting it on me. He pulled the hood over my head and we swiftly made our way past the Taaronite.

Soon we got to the Coffee House, after a taxi ride, and I gave him his jacket back. "Thanks Nick." I say. "No problem. Who was that?" He asked.

"His name is Jackson Matthews. Why it's important he doesn't ever see me, I'll tell you when we're alone. Just trust me on this, okay?" I say.

Nick's POV

"His name is Jackson Matthews. Why it's important he doesn't ever see me, I'll tell you when we're alone. Just trust me on this, okay?" Olivia says.

I stared at her for a second. She seems to suddenly be on edge and it looks like she's a little worried.

"Okay." I say. "Let's get to work." She says. "Yea." I say and we started working.
........................

I walked into Olivia's bedroom after dinner, wanting to know why Jackson Matthews can't see her, and saw her on her laptop.

"Victoria, I'm not coming back. I like living in America. I lived with Aunt Rosalie until I was eight and she died. Then Uncle Jacob moved me to another part of the country and I changed my name from Stevens to Jamison to keep my identity a secret. Now, I'd rather that mother NEVER knows that I'm still alive." She says, staring at her computer.

"Olivia, please come home. I want to meet my niece!" Someone said. I guess Olivia's video chatting someone.

"Not happening! If I take a single step into Taaron, I'd never come back. Thanks to Emily's dad, I've got Captain Matthews of P.O.T.C. on my trail. He sees me, I'd be dragged to Taaron against my will. Plus, mother and I didn't exactly part on the best terms." Olivia said.

"I miss my baby sister though." The person says. "Yea yea. I miss you too. Tell Daniel and Jason I miss them too. But remember, mother and father don't know I'm alive." Olivia says and then says bye to the person.

"Who's Olivia Stevens?" I ask and she looks up. "Nick! Uh, that's actually what I wanted to talk to you about." She said and I walked in.

"Shut the door." She said and I did. "You have some explaining to do." I say. "I know. I guess we should start at the beginning." She said nervously as she stood up.

"The beginning? How far back is that?" I ask as I sit down on her bed. "About, twelve years ago." She says with a nervous chuckle. "Twelve years?" I ask.

"Yea. Twelve years ago back where I was born. I am, Olivia from San Francisco, but I'm more that that too." She said.

"I know that. You're Olivia the New Yorker mom that I've become close friends with." I say, grabbing her hand. "Well yes. But even more than that too." She said and I could see that she was really nervous.

"Olivia, what's going on?" I ask. "Well, um, the thing is Nick, I'm a...." She trailed off, biting her lip nervously. "You're a.... what?" I ask.

"I'm.... a princess." She says.
