I Will Always Fight For You

Chapter 26: Part one

Two weeks of preparation and planning passed and it was the day of the wedding. So much has happened since then between the kids. Brandon and Callie still talk just not by themselves, it is usually at the table and things like that. Callie and Mariana got all the stuff done just in time and Mariana cooled off a bit about everything. Jude and Brandon are still close although Jude still keeps a close eye on Brandon and Callie and Jesus hasn't changed. Callie was standing in the mirror looking at herself with her dress on deciding whether or not she looked okay. Mariana came in the room and gasped at Callie," Oh my god, Callie you look beautiful." Callie turned around quickly, startled by Mariana's sudden entrance," Mariana you gave me a heart attack." Mariana smiled and said," You look amazing Callie." Callie shyly said," Thanks." Mariana went over to her makeup bag and grabbed it then offered," Let me do your makeup." Callie playfully rolled her eyes and sat down in a chair. Once Mariana was done she said," Perfect. Now go downstairs because those boys might need help." Callie and Mariana laughed and they left the room. Brandon and Jesus were hanging up the lanterns in the trees when Mariana came and said," You guys need any help." Not looking away from what he was doing, Brandon said," No we got it." Mariana tried hiding her happiness about not being needed and she said," Okay suit yourself." Brandon finished hanging the lantern along with Jesus and Jesus said," I'm going to go get the lights so that we can hang them." Brandon nodded and said," Okay." Jesus left to go get the lights and Brandon looked through the box of lanterns to make sure none were broken. " Do you need help," Brandon heard Callie offer. Brandon looked up at Callie and he couldn't help but stare at her. " hmm," Brandon hummed questionably. Callie smiled at his speechlessness and she repeated, " Do you want my help?" Brandon caught on to what she was asking and he looked down at the box and then at her and said," Actually Jesus went to go get the lights to hang." " Oh, well would you like help with the lights then," Callie asked. Jesus came back with a box full of lights and he set them down on a table and said to Brandon," Got them." " Well actually Callie wants to help," Brandon said. Jesus shook his head and said," As much as I would love your help, you should go help moms or something." Callie rolled her eyes and said," Okay." As Callie walked away Jesus joked," Dude stare at Callie any longer and moms will notice." Brandon snapped his head towards Jesus and asked," What?" Jesus patted Brandon's shoulder and said," Lighten up man, I'm kidding. But seriously you two are supposed to act like siblings at least and I don't think siblings stare at each other like that."  " I wasn't staring at her," Brandon argued. Jesus grabbed the lights and said," Say what you want. Come help me with the lights before everyone shows up." About two hours later people started showing up to the house and congratulating Stef and Lena and giving them gifts. Callie had invited Wyatt to come and when he actually came she was surprised and she said to him," You came!" Wyatt gave her a hug and said," Yeah." He handed Callie a gift and said," This is for Stef and Lena." Callie smiled and said," Thank you, they will love it." Wyatt chuckled and said," I don't think I've ever seen you in a dress." Callie laughed and said," No?" " No, but you look great in it." Callie gave him a smile and said," Well, thank you. Let's go put this down and then we can head outside." Brandon was talking with Jude when Sofia came up to him and said," Hi Brandon!" Brandon smiled and said," Hey." They gave each other a quick hug and Brandon didn't want Jude to feel awkward or out of place so he said," Sofia this is my little brother Jude. Jude this is Sofia, Robert's daughter." Brandon chose not to call her his sister because that might hurt Jude. Jude gave her a small smile and said," Nice to meet you." " Yeah you too. Brandon told me he had a little broth but he never mentioned you age," Sofia asked. " I'm twelve, almost thirteen." Sofia smiled and looked around not sure of what else to say. Brandon picked up on the awkwardness and he said," Why don't I introduce you to the rest oft family?" Sofia nodded and said," Okay, sure." Brandon introduced Sofia to about everyone in his family except for Callie, and he knew exactly why. " So that's my family," Brandon said after he finished introducing Sofia to Mariana. Sofia looked around and asked," Is Callie here?" Brandon mentally cursed at himself and said," Uh yeah, but I haven't seen here around that much." After saying that Brandon caught a glimpse of Callie and Wyatt talking over at a table. Brandon hated that Wyatt was here and he intended to find out why. " Oh never mind she's over there," Brandon said while still looking at Wyatt. When Brandon and Sofia came up to Callie and Wyatt, Brandon said to Callie," Callie, this is Sofia." Callie remembered what Brandon said earlier about her, and Callie awkwardly said," Oh, uh hi. You're Brandon's biological sister, right?" Sophia noticed her awkwardness and she said," Yes, and I'm assuming Brandon tells you a lot of things." Wyatt didn't want to be around this conversation any longer, so he excused himself to go get something to drink. Sofia watched as Wyatt left then she turned back around and said to Callie," Don't worry I won't tell anyone." " Well there's nothing to tell. Me and Brandon are brother and sister, nothing more," Callie responded while glancing over towards Brandon to see how he was feeling about what she was saying. Brandon nodded in agreement and said," Yeah just brother and sister." Sofia rolled her eyes and said," Okay, Say whatever you want. I'm going to go get something to eat." When Sofia left them Callie said," Why is Sofia here?" " Because I was told to invite her," Brandon said rudely. Callie mumbled to herself," I don't like her." Unfortunately Brandon picked up on it," Why not Callie?" Callie shook her head and said," Because she is nosy." Brandon scoffed and said," You don't get to judge her." Brandon was starting to raise his voice so Callie said," Not here Brandon." " Oh of coarse Callie. I forgot that you have a total say on my life," Brandon snapped back loudly. At this point people were starting to stare. Callie started walking away and she said," Stop being an ass." Brandon grabbed her wrist hard and said," I am not!" Callie winced at the pain and for the first time ever, she feared Brandon. Mariana ran up to them and yanked Callie's  arm free and yelled," God, Brandon what is wrong with you?" Brandon looked over to Callie and he saw how she was looking at him and he instantly regretted it. He took a step towards Callie and said," Callie I'm sorry." Callie stepped back and spat in his face," Your just like Liam!" With that Callie ran out of the backyard to go to her room. Stef came up to Brandon and said," That is no way to treat your sister, and at our wedding?" Brandon looked down ashamed and said," I'm so sorry." Stef crossed her arms and said," It isn't me who you should be apologizing to. I saw the way Callie looked at you."
