Aga

"Gusto mo ng prutas, babes? What do you want, apples, oranges, grapes? Name it and I'll go get you some!" wika ko while starring at Lea who's now sitting at the edge of our bed, looking at me like I'm a complete idiot or so. What?

"Seriously, Aga? Hindi ako buntis at lalo na, wala akong sakit para alagaan mo ako ng ganito, I can handle myself!" she blurted out while rolling her eyeballs, which I found really cute. Ang cute niya kapag naiinis, kaya gustong gusto kong pinepeste siya.

"Whatever you say, babes! Basta, babantayan kita not until you're completely okay and that's final." aniya ko while gritting my teeth to show her that I'm serious.

Dalawang araw rin siyang na-confine sa ospital, actually, dapat sa araw na na-confine siya, pwede na siyang lumabas agad kaso ewan ko ba kung anong trip niya at naisipan niyang doon daw muna siya sa ospital at magpapagaling siya.

Kaya, kanina lang kami nakalabas, today is Wednesday at may pasok ang mga bata while me on the other hand, si Annie muna ang pinaasikaso ko sa mga gawain doon sa kompanya so that I can watch over Lea 24/7.

"Uhm, wala ka bang trabaho at titignan mo lang ako rito buong araw?" she asked me and there's a hint of annoyance in her voice.

Sorry, babes, pero sa ayaw at gusto mo, makakasama mo ako ngayon buong araw.

"Nope, I'm here to watch over you the whole day." sagot ko at napa-nguso naman siya dahil dun.

"Hindi na ako bata para bantayan mo." she said while rolling her eyeballs, again.

I chuckled. Matukso nga.

"Really? Oo nga 'no, your 39 at hindi ka na nga bata." I said while laughing, knowing Lea, ayaw na ayaw pa naman niya sa lahat iyong tinutukso siya tungkol sa edad niya.

"Says the one who's 40." she hissed.

"Ako, 40? Well true enough pero babes, 'di naman halata, eh. One time, there's a girl I met back at NYC at napag-kamalan niya akong 27! Imagine that?" pagkwento ko na mas lalong kinainis niya.

Well, that's a made up story. Pero tottoo naman, I don't look like I'm 40, do I?

"The hell I care!" sigaw niya as she stood up and made her way out of the room, she even slammed the door.

I can't help but smile sa sarili kong kalokohan. Pikon na siya, she's really sensitive when it comes to talking about her age. She's 39 at infact, hindi naman halata na mag-foforty na siya sa February. She still looks young and stunning with and without makeup.

At dahil mabait akong asawa, I decided to follow her para suyuin siya. After kong inisin, ngayon naman susuyuin ko. That's how my life goes and I'm happy about that.

Bumaba ako and there I found her sitting at the kitchen counter sa kusina. Alangan naman may kitchen counter sa banyo, 'di ba? But anyway, lumapit ako sa kanya and before I can do that, she motioned me to stop using her hands.

"If you're going to tease me about my age, please lang, tumigil ka na." she said with gritted teeth.

"Babes..." I called out pero 'di niya ako pinansin, instead tumayo siya at naglakad palabas ng kusina kaya sinundan ko na naman siya.

"Babes, I'm sorry, okay? I was just joking around." sambit ko but she didn't even bothered to turn around at diretso lang siya ng lakad.

"Babes, pansinin mo ako!" wika ko but still, no effect.

Nakarating kami sa pool area at akmang lalakad ulit siya but I pulled her into a tight back-hug. I rested my head on her shoulders, inhaling her familiar scent.
