I wander aimlessly around Melbourne's beautiful array of laneways containing secretly hidden stores in little nooks you wouldn't know were there unless you stumble upon it like myself. I walk into one store that is an interior homeware type store, and the shop assistants not noticing my presence continue to excitedly gabble unintelligibly while I take a look around.

"Just gorgeous!" One of them gushes.

"And he's nice, just like they say," the other one interjects.

I don't know who says whatever about this handsome fellow, but I'm happy to continue browsing on my own without the numerous, "Can I help you with anything?" from each and every staff member.

"If I wasn't engaged to George..." she trails off, leaving it up to the other woman's imagination, and they both lapse into a fit of giggles.

"You little minx! He's just a boy!" The other woman gasps, hitting her lightly on the arm with a tea towel.

"Boy toy perhaps!" She replies, and I can't help but let out a small laugh, which gives away my presence. Now noticing that they have a customer in the store, they straighten up, and seem a little startled.

"Ahem, sorry... Didn't see you come in. Are you after anything in particular?" She grins, and she's the kind of woman suited for the role. Mid forties, but the type of person to tell her friends she's still 36. Well off - but due to her husband's job, and not her contribution of working 3 hours a week. Her average week would most likely consist of endless afternoon tea's with the girls while they bítch about their nannies or the woman who brought her crying child along to the restaurant. That kind of woman.

"Just looking," I inform her, smiling. After some more browsing with no luck, I decide to head back to my car, however I look both left and right - each path more daunting as each other considering I have absolutely no idea where I've parked. We were in such a rush in the morning that I didn't even think to stop and take a look at my surroundings.

I decide to head left, from the direction that I think I came in, and I almost message Scarlett to ask for help until I see a familiar looking tree and vaguely remember the way. I walk until I see my little car in the distance, and breathe a massive sigh of relief as I head towards it. I don't even catch my breath as I'm almost taken out by the group of excited young teens running from behind me, when they decide to stop after seeing me. One of them grabs my shoulders intensely, whilst shaking me. I can barely make out what she's yelling at me, but it kind of sounds like,"

"Have you seen him?!"

Clearly taken aback, I am stunned, and take a few seconds to compose myself enough to be able to reply.

"W-Who are you looking for?" I ask.

One of the other girls with a carrot on her shirt grabs her friend on the arm,

"Never mind, she clearly doesn't have any information," and they continue off in their desperate search.

What in the world would cause someone to act in such a desperate manner? Perhaps they've lost their dog? Cat? Or maybe even their carrot like that girl had on her shirt. Pretty bizarre choice of clothing, and I have seen quite a lot of weird clothing considering I work in retail. Come to think of it, one of their other shirts said something about a person named "Larry" and another about "Greg." Regardless, the whole experience was extremely peculiar, and I'm very glad to see my car in sight.
