Chapter- 28 How Did This Happen?

Alkira's pov-

What place is this?

How did I come here?

I look around myself and realize that I am in the middle of NOWHERE!

The snow-covered ground. As far as you can see a sheet of white is stretched, making it impossible to recognize any flora which can make me aware of my surroundings, on which territory I am.

I don't recall coming to this place. As I try to remember what happened to me in the last few hours, I draw a blank.

In fact, as I try to focus my head hurt. The more I try the more it aches. It seems like now my memories have also abandoned me.

Temporary amnesia

Great! First my wolf! And now my mind too... looks like I am going insane!

"Thank god, Keith is with me!"

The sentence slips out of my mouth his name coming softly and melting my insides.

It feels like his name is my personal switch, which got activated by saying it out loud.

As his name echo in my mind, I feel a burning sensation in my heart and my mind is also blown away by the intensity of it.

Out of nowhere, I am hit with an image and then another and another. It feels like cognitive popcorn. I can't stop these pictures from popping into my mind along with the numerous voices.

Some of which I recognize while others are a little faint to interpret.

What the hell they are saying?

I drop to the ground clutching my head in between my hands. My eyes are tightly shut and my breathing is irregular with lots of effort to it.

After a while the assault stops and I feel like I can breathe a little freely.

My legs have gone numb from sitting in this awkward position so I shift and sit Indian style.

I put my hands on my knees eyes still closed I try to focus again. This time everything comes to me easily.

Keith and I were waiting for the rouges to come into the clearing. We were ready to pounce on them as soon as they lay a foot on the ground.

After a while, they arrived with all the madness and rage.

We were fighting with all our might thinking this may be our very last battle.

It will be if others did not join us sooner.

We are two grown alphas and we will surely give those more to fight.

But the thing is we were less in number. So we might kill them all and win this battle but this may cost us our lives.

And I was not going to die before taking my revenge on Zen.

I hope that they will arrive sooner. We were joined by others after a while.

We underestimated these rogues and thought that they will play fair.

How wrong we were!!!

They took out their weapons and wore them.

The weapons were claws and paw rings. The part where it touched them was made of wood and the rest of it was of silver.

I was still in my human form as my wolf was still a no-show. But what bothered me was why Keith was in his human form.

I didn't dwell on it as I could not afford to be distracted, instead, I focused on the fight.

Some rogues were too in their human form with numerous weapons of their own. I shifted my focus on them as I saw how they were helping others to kill us.
