I just had a mental physical and emotional breakdown on every level. I just watched Selma, a movie about the civil rights movement in Selma Alabama where MLK led a march. It is moving and incredible but violent. It shows how hard we had to work to gain equal rights. There are scenes in which it feels as though you are living the torture and beating of all these brave people. They were brave and strong and believing just like we need to be in this time of need. They forged onward through chaos and torture for equal rights and the right to be American voters. Just like we need to forge ahead against unequal happenings and decisions made by our president  Trump. Selma brought to light how many terrible things happened in order for equal rights to vote were gained. We cannot got back to that time where people are beaten. We cannot go backwards. We must make progress and be strong like MLK and the marchers. If you lack the will to fight or you don't understand what really had to happen to gain equal rights go watch Selma. Go see what we cannot go back to and when you are finished think about fighting for what is right with the support from everyone who fights with you!
